I dont think its fair to do what Flip is doing now in basically telling him to never shoot unless its a wide open dunk. Then everytime he does, Flip immediatly takes him out. That makes the kid so nervous that even when he does shoot, he wont make it because he's so scared and wondering wether he should shoot or not. Weve lost 11 in a row, give the kid some freedom. You might as well bench him all together if you are going to handcuff him like that.
Cosign 100%. I just found it unbelievable that Flip subbed Javale for horrible-ass Oberto 2 minutes into the game for absolutely no freaking reason whatsoever. Javale didn't even have enough time to make an actual mistake, and flip subs him (Oberto then proceeds to get schooled by Gasol on the next 3 plays). It's things like this that can destroy a young player's confidence instantly.
Take off the damn kid gloves and let him make his mistakes for crying out loud.
He pulls him when he is getting outmatched physically in the post when guarding other centers. They would be better off letting Dray guard the center with our current roster. Dray is out best post defender right now because... WE HAVE NO CENTERS ON THIS TEAM.

Hell, Singleton was guarding Gasol better than McGee or Berto. Same thing, different season. DSong at center because Dray wasn't ready. Ruffin at center. Loosing Haywood was huge.
Lets gets some centers. We need to add at least two centers once Berto is gone.
