I'll hate them, but at the same time, they're going to be one of the few major points of interest the NBA has to offer next season (with the current lack of parity - the lack of parity they, themselves, created), so I'll definitely be tuning into my fair share of Heat games.

they will be fun to watch, and i think half their games will be nationally televised maybe more.

Re: Do we have to hate the Heat now?
My hate for Lebron I think stemmed from the fact that he played in Cleveland and their fans had this sense of entitlement because he was on the Cavs. Now that he's jumped to Miami...eh, I dunno...I'll dislike them because they are a division foe, but I'd be lying to you if I said I'm not interested in watching that team play.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Sota' took Super Cool.
But can we hate Mike Miller? If anyone's hoping for injuries, he's probably the first camper to fall victim to that cruel cleaver. It's tough, I feel like they're using him as a human shield against bad mojo.
Is he going to play Center? Cause that's what they really need.
So is the Beasley trade so that everyone can get the Max? I hope it is, that's a better scenario than if they all left those few millions for one more guy like Mike.
And boooooo to the Wolves - not only taking Beasley off their hands, but a future 1st?!?! All I can say is:
KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN!
I won't hate Mike, he's a good guy. But I surely won't root for him. And yes, he'll probably miss 50 games.
All that trade really did was open up money for them to sign Miller. I assume Miller's salary for 2010/11 is pretty close to what Beasley's is. And Miami's committed to Miller a lot longer than they would have been to Beasley. And Minny really didn't give up anything of value for him. Like Kanye said, it was a 2nd rounder, and it wouldn't suprise me if it's the so-called conditional 2nd rounder that means ya get diddly.

Well, the reports I've seen have been murky. Minny's 2nd rounder next year figures to be in the top 5 of the round, so it's like an additional 1st. Miami probably ends up with the 30th & 35th picks (sound familiar?), which is helpful in filling out that roster. And "a swap of 1st rounders in an unspecified future year" is scary - hope it's heavily protected.
My understanding of the MEami (thx doc) cap situation before this trade was that each member of the Superfriends would have to take about $1M less than the MAX to fit under the cap, even after the revised cap number. So if Beasley was going to take up $5M, does $3M of that money go to Wade/Bosh/James and the rest to Miller, or do the Superfriends still take $1M less each and let MM have all of Beasley's money?
And still - Miller does help in that they need shooters to complement W/B/J, but they still have no Center, and a backup PG (who I like a lot, BTW) in Chalmers. They need bigs and toughness, and need it in quantity, if they're going to go up against the C's, magic, Lakers, etc.
