most of wall's stats seem about right, but i thought his dunk should be over 70 (or is it 80?), otherwise he wont be able to do that windmill dunk he does. unless they have given him his own dunkpack, which i doubt. i feel like block should be up towards the high 40s and at the moment pass should be down a couple as well.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Re: NBA 2k11: My Hands-On Wizards Impression
Picked up the game at the 12am release. Very impressive and by far the best NBA game I've ever played.
About the Wizards, I'm really disappointed they didn't give John Wall his own signature shot package. He's the #1 pick in the draft and one of the most hyped rookies in years, damnit. Also, they haven't done anything to Gilbert Arenas' shot (though that's not as surprising).
The attributes still need a bit of tweaking. Blatche, McGee and Arenas should have a higher rating. Maybe Howard too.

Re: NBA 2k11: My Hands-On Wizards Impression
This game is awesome. I practiced shooting a little, just to get the hang of it again, and there was this bar/meter thing at the top and I'm thinking "oh God, this is terrible." But it's not in the actual games so it's all good.
The game is unbelievable. I'm 1-0 online, played as the Bulls. The easy choice would be to take the Heat but the Bulls have a nice balance of inside and outside shooting. Only played 5 minute quarters but so far, it looks really good.

ok, after the last two real games, John Wall's block rating should be in the low 60s at least. That block on Sessions was pretty good. Or is that Clutch Defense that should get a few points?

Re: NBA 2k11: My Hands-On Wizards Impression
I've been putrid--I tried playing on Superstar, but failed miserably (lost by 60). I think my reaction speed is just a tad too slow. I turned the difficulty down to All-Star, and then adjusted the sliders down to mid 30s for the CPU offensive categories. I lost 100-87 to the Kings, so I feel a little better.
I have the hardest time getting the timing down for Gil's jumper, too. In my game against Sactown, I just stuck with it, and I ended up getting 40 FGAs out of stubbornness. His release is a lot quicker than everyone else's.
My inconstancy on Gil is part of the reason I lost to the Kings, too.

McGee increased to a 66 with living rosters and Marks added to team.

If Gil's shot is the same as in 2k9/2k10, I struggle with it as well. Sometimes I can hit anything even when im just heaving it before the clock expires. Then if i dont play the game for a week or two and come back I cant hit open jumpers.

It is hilarious because I bust 3s more easily with Wall than Gil.

I can't shoot a jumper worth a damn. I think it's a timing issue that I need to work on, like I have to release it at a certain point.

Re: NBA 2k11: My Hands-On Wizards Impression
It seems much harder to make jump shots (even open ones) in 2k11 as opposed to 2k10. I was mainly a jumpshooter in 2k10 with the Wizards and was pretty damn good at it. I'm far more inconsistent in 2k11 and can go for long stretches without making anything. Thank goodness I can play lockdown D and really shut opponents down. Going into the lane against my D is asking for a rejection, a forced miss or a turnover. Unless you have a certifiable stud in the paint like Amare or Duncan, your going to lose most battles in the paint against me.
I'm 8-2 so far in online play. I hold most opponents to under 35 pts. Some under 30 and even one under 20. LOL. If I ever get my jumper going with Hinrich & Arenas, its ova.
I'm Dat2U on X360 so if you want to get a run on just add me as a friend.

Re: NBA 2k11: My Hands-On Wizards Impression
Between the excessive steals and the fact that you can't make a jump shot, you cold argue this game is barely playable. I had to adjust the sliders, which I hate to do because I feel like i'm cheating.

Re: NBA 2k11: My Hands-On Wizards Impression
I don't like the steals either. It happens WAY too often and you can't make a cross court pass without getting it stolen. It's ridiculous. I inbound the ball and I try to pass it to my PG, and I can't count how many times I get the ball stolen, obsurd. As for the jump shooting, I have no problem with it. I make most of my shots, it's just tough to stop the opposition at times. Overall, from what I've played up to this point, the game is fun to play, it's not perfect, but hardly any game ever is, so you take it the good & the bad.
