Notice how Javale sometimes just goes to the bench automatically after especially stupid plays - I think even without Flip telling him to - since he does it so quickly? It's almost like he makes the mistake on purpose, so he can get some rest. I guess the good thing is that he understands he made the mistake, but... somebody's got to get inside his head and figure out his brain works.

The real good thing is... he doesn't have to face Howard every game. I can't get on him too hard for not being able to handle him.

I listened to the first five minutes on the radio and I loved Glenn Consor's honesty (Buck and Phil are way too genteel for my taste). He ripped McGee's terrible early shot selection, lax defense and begged Flip to sit him down. He had harsh words for Blatche's shotjacking too.

Armstrong -12 in 3 minutes of play! I don't care how bad Seraphin is; let's give him Hilton's minutes. He's just terrible.

on the radio coming home Consor said we don't have a space heater.
I wasn't going to bother calling in last night but I had to on that one.
I asked him, 'is KS a space heater?' (yes) then 'why is HA getting minutes
ahead of him?' (well because IDK)

Consor was also saying ORL could make noise in the playoffs.
Well they could but I'd say probably not. Howard can be
fouled to ineffectiveness and 3 pt shooting is notoriously
ephemeral. I don't see them making it past one round,
esp without Peitrus and Gortat. Getting back Turkeyglue
was big for them but they still need a backup C and
a perimeter defender or else they ain't doin squat.
Having Gil and Nelson as their PGs wouldn't give
me a lot of confidence.

I know he's approaching pathetic levels of defense only seen by Arenas, and I know he's approaching Yi level rebounding for a 7-footer, and I know his offense is as refined as necks offense, but hes' a budding star, he's super athletic, and it's Flips fault for not giving him 10 shots. If he played more the Wiz would have won! Fire Flip!

McGee was horrible. Not sure he deserved the 17 min he got.
Flip, I got your back on this one. KS should play more though
even if he does somewhat poorly.

I am the resident McGee supporter. That said, Dwight Howard completely owns McGee much the same way Gerald Wallace owned Antawn Jamison or how Tracy McGrady owned Caron Butler when the former Wizards faced them. Complete domination. Total mismatch.

That said I recall Shaq in his Laker prime routinely getting handled by two very young players--Eddy Curry and Tyson Chandler. Whoever coached the Bulls then Skiles(??) was smart enough to have both young bigs on the court against Shaq. Curry made Shaq work hard to get to a spot and Chandler harassed and occasionally blocked Shaq from the weak side. Both guys on offense tried to dunk on Shaq. The lowly Bulls team beat the Lakers at least twice.

Howard owns McGee, but he doesn't own Big Baby Davis and he wouldn't own Seraphin. Flip could do better forgetting his system and just trying McGee with Seraphin on Howard.

Yes, Ryan Anderson would kill from outside but he'd have his hands full with Javale or Kevin on the block.

McGee sucks in some situations and so does Blatche. Seraphin could be useful at times. Flip vets paid a ton and he's got legions of loyalists--but I do not think he adjusts on-the-fly well at all.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Orlando is a very dangerous team, I could see them taking out the Celtics.

It really comes down to Shaq and Perkins staying healthy enough to handle Howard. Shaq is falling apart, they should just keep him on a treadmill for 5 miles a day for the next few months then bring him back in May to prepare for the playoffs.

Not much of a limb to go out on, but I think it's Orlando/Lakers in the finals. Not buying San Antonio......just too old to keep this up.
