You never quit huh...???

Still love you CCJ... (no homo) :D

This is a crazy team, DRH.

Just when I am just beside myself sick of Flip he goes and coaches them up huge. Wall goes out and dominates. Booker and Martin are solid off the bench and Flip knows now--they get in early, as does Seraphin. Much as I can't stand Yi .... No. :)

If this coach uses his whole roster like he did today, I will not complain at all. As crazy as this sounds, this team could play .500 ball from here out.

I have been on that side of things most the time. They have talent. They just don't/didn't have enough to not have key players at any given time. They needed Wall and Kirk but didn't always have both because of injuries. They needed Lewis and Dray. And they always needed Howard but rarely had him.

But now that Wall playing D and with Howard maybe ready to stick round the rest of the year, they could start to be more competitive. But now they has lost Lewis for at least a little while and Kirk could get traded before they can all play together. Losing Kirk would make them less competitive short this year but maybe better longer term if they get the right piece in return.

If they are all healthy, they could play .500 ball but I'm not sure they will all here to do it.

Kirk, Howard and Lewis are solid vets
Wall, McGee are talented youngs.
Dray can be solid in a specific role like he has played the last 5 games
Booker adds nice speed and strength and Seraphin is tough angry muscle in the post.
Martin can hit 3s
Yi is a nice piece if all he does is back up the PF/C and hit the mid range shot

They have enough talent to be good.

And with Indy and Phili on the plate, should be able to see shortly. And if they play well against them, then they get to test what they have against Miami, Dallas and Chicago

But there are only 29 more games to play. Playing .500 ball will get them to 30-52
Four games better than last year but with a much better path to success.

After that, we have a lot of questions again. Can they sign Nick at value. What happens with the roster past Wall and McGee ? Still a lot of questions before we can count on this winning well enough to be a playoff team. Just to bad this group could start the season today. I think they could do it with what they have today.

I don't think there are many quality big men in the d-League. And those who might be decent are usually guys who are on an NBA roster like Hamady.

See, we could tear it up in the D-League!
Lets move down a division for the rest of this season, sorta like Euro-soccer! :D

You're right, there are a shortage of bigs down-there, I was thinking of a couple of guys (Adrien & Gallon) but they are similar to Hickson and Samuels. They'll have to address their Center weakness in the next draft. And on that note, if they draft ahead of us say Cavs 3- 4, Wiz 5, they could nab Kanter or Jonas Valanciunas right ahead of us.

great to at long last get that elusive first road win

beyond that the main thing this game showed is
that we are somewhere inbtw SAN and CLE.
After the horrible horrible outing against SAN,
to make a statement that we at least were not
the worst team in the league is progress of a sort.

not expecting a W vs ORL but it would be encouraging
to see them at least compete.

I noticed that he committed fouls on most of those blocks. Particularly egregious was when he smacked away the cell phone.

But, seriously, what in the world is this young man doing making a video touting himself? He should be spending every waking hour in the gym learning to, you know, actually play the game of basketball.

Funny you should say that. I was just thinking about a new NBA schedule. Until the AS break, everyone plays. After, only the teams that are in the race play each other and all the low bracket teams play each other. They would be out of the race of course.

This way, the worst team get to play even competition and get better instead of blow outs like the SA game with the better teams hammer it out and get tuned up for the playoffs.

I think the overall level of play in the league would be better.

Theoretically you could have a 52 game regular season. Then a 30 game home/home round robin to develop seedings and then have the play-offs. The non-playoff teams would have to double twice up or play 4 fewer games. I can see an appeal to this format, however logistically it would be a nightmare. It also would be pretty bad for the 7th and 8th seeds that are likely looking at a stretch of going 4-26 or worse.

.

I didn't know where else to put this.

But tonight, the Cavs beat the Lakers.

Jeebus. I don't even want to guess what the General Board or Laker Board look like right now.
