McGee has the same number of points and rebounds as tony effn Beattie.. I can't believe there are some on this board who feel he is worth the $10m+ a year and want to lock him up..i say we get what we can by the deadline or let another team just sign him. I'm done with this fool.

Yeah, sorry, not agreeing with you. McGee has great games, average games and lousy ones. It seems that lousy ones usually involve being paired with Blatche.

I doubt see how anyone can maintain interest in this team without focusing on a longer term view, meaning not making judgements on a game by game basis. Lets look at McGee over the course of the month, not based on this game.

I was watching the 'highlights' after the game. They showed like 4-5 shots in a row
by Brand where McGee was camped out under the basket, Brand comes down court
to the elbow or a similar distance from the basket, gets a pass, McGee finally reacts
while Brand easily swishes a shot over him as McGee flies toward him. It was the same
thing like 5 times in a row. I like JaVale but when they show replays of what amounts
to the same play many times in succession, it really makes you question what he is
thinking about out there.

The lineup of 'subs' looked soooo much better than the starters. I like the way
Mack played, KS/Book and Craw too. They actually were competing.

Keep in mind they were actually playing a zone defense for awhile in the first half. The foul line area was consistently wide open for anyone. And when they went to man D McGee wasn't on Brand.

We just aren't this bad. Something needs to change.

Yes, we are that bad. And, yes, something has to change....we need players that have talent, high BBIQ and heart. We have very few players on this team that have all three attributes.

we have talent, and the bball iq argument is vastly overrated. all of these guys made it to the NBA, i think bball IQ comes standard.

Heart is what it comes down to and a willingness to want to be better. there are few on this team who have it.

IDK - I think these 2 things are very closely related.

Just about every player in the NBA is an uber athlete. What separates
the wheat from the chafe is an understanding of how to play. And
complete dedication to the kind of practice that makes playing the
right/smart way something that happens automatically when the
game starts.

It wasn't just Mcgee standing around. They all were. They seemed to think playing zone meant they didn't have to actually move. A guy in a wheelchair could have gotten off an uncontested shot at the foul line. It was kind of funny actually.

McGee was the one to react when anyone did. Should he get credit for
that (he tried) or blame (he was late and failed).

well, considering the midrange j is the natural predator of the 2-3 zone almost by design, i would say it's not necessarily anyone's exclusive fault, but if blame was to be divvied, it would fall mostly on one of the guards up top
