off topic post on cespedes/diggs..

Post#1 » by whataknight301 » Sun Feb 12, 2012 5:38 pm

I put the post here, because there is not much movement at the orioles forums. For those of you who are o's fans listen up.part of diggs commitment to playing at Maryland was the love he recieved from fan signs at the b ball games. he felt wanted and talked about it playing a role in coming here for the terps.
Maybe we can do the same for cespedes and have fan signs to make him feel wanted. And come to the o's.
thoughts???

Goes to show how far removed I am from giving a shxt about baseball. I used to follow the O's pretty closely (til the mid-90s). But today, I haven't a clue who diggs and cespedes are. A little more info would be helpful. Who are these guys and why should we want them?

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but as poorly as the Wiz have been run, the O's have been run at least 10 times worse - they are probably the saddest excuse for an organization in professional sports. I've been a fan all my life, but now I'm finally disowning them as a fan - at least until Angelos is gone. And really - any fan who supports them financially in any way - deserves what they get.

I don't think it's possible to name a worse owner in major professional sports.

There are few teams in all of professional sports that need to be contracted more than the O's. NOH are the front runners of need to be contracted, but the O's are nipping at their heals. If they were still in Memorial Stadium instead of Camden the O's would have been elimintated 5 years ago. That beautiful stadium is the only thing keeping that crappy franchise alive. Go Nats!

I disagree. The Orioles have an extremely devoted and knowledgeable fan-base with numbers. No one should be expected to support them with Angelos as the owner. Go Nats.
