Obviously, no one can shoot that well on a consistent basis.
If Nick stopped dribble around to no where and focused on catch and shoot like Flip was training him, those number are with in his reach.
Even last night he was on target when he did that. Nick problem is that he is not good at decision making. That makes his dribbling moves below average. He has some things he can do off the dribble. There is the quick step back between the legs. Or if he has a clear path to the basket, he can get there and finish. But he has no moves like a Wade who can play almost like a PG. That is where Nick get in trouble. That leads to his turnovers or forced shots.
On this team that is a problem because Singleton, Booker and McGee don't have good handles. So something in the make up of the team needs to change. They need a better ball handling SG and or SF. They need someone who can create and score at least one of those positions. At a bare min, they need a SF who can shoot from outside.
Batum would be perfect for this team. Or a Kevin Martin. Or Mason Brook
