they may be fouling more due to Sing/Book/Ves getting more minutes
than they had been getting under Flip

Bump for the mothballing of Andray Blatche

Nivek, do you have an update on the Four Factors numbers of Wittman versus Flip?

Maybe tomorrow. Messed up my hip over the weekend and i'm not doing much that requires concentration today. My attention drifts and fades. :D

Defensive efg is back to 50%, which is bad. Especially since defensive rebounding has been awful. Hopefully Nene can help in both areas.

Hurray for the mothballing! Good strategic planning to do it right after the trade deadline - waiting a few days to make it not completely obvious. He has actually gotten fatter since he was last activated. Flip mentioned something about getting him in a program. I'd say the chances of Blatche sticking to it are slim. I think it's a major plus to get him away from the team - now the team is not infested with any of the tres knuckleheads. Yeah!

Good luck with the hip recovery, Kev. Maybe the pain meds will help give you a creative stat perspective.

Same numbers as above but with a 3rd column for league average.

Code: Select all

STAT    FLIP    WITT    LgAvg
Pyt82   13.9    23.4    41.0
Pace    92.9    92.9    91.4
ortg    95.4    104.0   104.1
drtg    106.9   111.0   104.1
efg     .439    .486    .485
defg    .505    .500    .485
orb%    .249    .285    .269
drb%    .716    .686    .731
tov%    .154    .162    .139
dtov%   .163    .147    .139
ft/fga  .192    .188    .211
dft/fga .212    .242    .211

Wittman has them playing about average on offense. Not bad. Their offensive rebounding is going to drop with the McGee trade.

When Wittman first took the job there was a lot of talk about playing at a faster pace but the pace is identical. I think Wittman is doing a good job but the pace argument didn't hold much water.

I know there is still another month of basketball, but... do we bring Witt back next season?

The guys seem to like playing for him. He holds the players accountable. I do not get his "system" yet, but I see the team heading in the right direction.

I would vote yes.
