Just looked it up. Nick Young's performance was tied for the 4th-highest point total for all rookies age 23 or younger:

32 - Durant (in 39 minutes)
29 - Jianlian (in 43 minutes)
28 - Durant (in 37 minutes)
27 - Young (in 31 minutes)
27 - Durant (in 38 minutes)
27 - Durant (in 38 minutes)

Young's game led all rookies on a points per minute basis (minimum 25 points).

After this post was made, Stuckey scored 27 points in 33 minutes on April 1st against Minnesota.

I just can't believe that on the previous page there was an actual comment about how much time Nick would (or wouldn't) get in the playoffs. It's been so long since the Wiz were in the playoffs that I went all Jim Mora in my reaction.

The numbers speak for themselves. To Sev's comment, it just shows how much time has passed (in a seemingly short amount of actual time).

Hey, we all wanted to believe in his potential. I questioned his low IQ and smilely demeanor a bunch but I thought he would eventually grow up. And he did some. He made a lot of stride the year before last. But ultimately, this team didn't have enough maturity to pull him up, so he helped pulled the team down. Getting ride of him and McGee was the right move at the right time. Everyone is better off for it. Nick and McGee can get on with their thing and so can the Wizards.

The kid may still have his day in the sun. He just needs to grow up more.
