It's absurd, especially when you consider that the Pistons announcers thought the shot was good as well. The angle made it look like a winner, heck, I thought we pulled out the W as well.

It's the age we live in. One of my first thoughts after the call was - all the lame sports shows are going to have a field day with that call. But Buck will be fine. His rep will not tarnished at all.

Shaq, Kenny and 3D are ripping Buck for the Dagger gone wrong call right now on inside the nba. Sad

Everybody makes mistakes. I thought Buck did well with "Dagger retracted".

I was reading the express this morning and they posted a comment that said something to the effect that Phil and Buck no longer sit courtside, as Ted took thier seats. Is this true?
Just let the young boys play! It's truly the only hope at this point.

Yes. It is true. As I said previously...
they now sit in the lower section that FACES the Wizards bench and
at the very top of that section ie nowhere near as close to the court
as they used to be. And a comletely different angle.

On the subject of the game I want to mention some 'context' -

Nene didn't play
We allowed them to shoot over 50% - Brandon Knight, shooting just under 38% on the year on 3s goes off.
Wall has a terrible game, one of the worst of his career.
And we only lost by one point against a team that has rightly or wrongly
owned us this year and the last 6 straight.

Disappointing to be sure, maybe the end of the world if you're like me
in irrationally looking at the standings and schedule. But maybe not
quite so bad when looked at as one game out of 82.
A lot of what we call 'thought' is just mental activity
