James Singleton signed by Knicks

Post#1 » by HarthorneWingo » Thu Apr 11, 2013 4:05 am

Hi there. Knicks fan here coming in peace. We just signed Singleton and I was wondering what you guys thought about him as a player. Thanks.

Always loved the old Knicks-Bullets rivalry back in the late '60s and early '70s. Looking forward to you guys putting it back together.

That means we have a roster spot to sign James Singleton. Thanks!

Just messing around Harthorne.

PS: James Singleton is a PF that can play a little SF or C, depending on matchups.

James played well for the Wiz. He rebounded decently, defended decently, and hit 15 foot jumpers at a career rate. That last part is likely a fluke, but you can expect a fairly intelligent, hard working backup quality player.

I don't believe it was a fluke at all. Playing abroad can make a player better.

James Singleton played in China. He developed confidence in his game starting overseas and came back better than the 8th to 12th man that he was in his previous NBA stints. Chris Copeland played all over Europe before coming to the NBA as a 28-year old rookie. He's a good player. I will enjoy seeing Copeland team with James Singleton. It would be a trip if they play the Nets and Andray Blatche is also playing!

If the Knicks let him play I expect James Singleton will play at the same high level he did when the Wizards went 6-0 to close last season.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Hawthorne posted in friendly, respectful fashion and asked a completely reasonable question. Wiz fans have conversations with other boards like this all the time. Trolls are called out when they are actually trolling. Like you right now - care to actually contribute to the thread?

He'll definitely help the Knicks out with rebounding. He can also hit faceup jumpers. You'll be pleasently surprised by his play. You guys also need him with all your bigs being injured.
