It wouldn't surprise me at all if he averaged 18+/9+ and made the All-Star team if he did join the Wizards.

He wouldn't be a superstar, but he could easily be a David West level player for you guys. He's also still relatively young and on a very reasonable contract.

Honestly I think most Wiz fans agree with this about Ersan. Many of us wanted them to pursue him in free agency last year and instead got stuck with the Okariza trade. That said, the vast majority of Wiz fans also don't think Ersan is worth giving up the 3rd pick for. There will be plenty of time to add stretch four without giving up that much and we still believe that Wall can make a number of players better in that position so it just doesn't make sense to give up the pick for him.

This.

Ilyasova could well turn out to be an All-Star caliber player in the right situation, but the fact is, he ISN'T right now. We're not going to pay the price to acquire him as if he was already an All Star. If Milwaukee thinks he is an All Star, then keep him.

Looking through the years of drafts, there are generally 5 to 6 all-stars in a draft. There were only two drafts that had only 3 all-stars. So you would hope with the 3rd pick you could get an all-star.

Efsan is exactly what we need right now...
I think the view is based on how much confidence we have in nene
Im at lik 30%...il trade nene 1st good offer given for him

When looking at the top playoff teams in the nba you notice the same pattern....
A good center defender
A good shooter at pf

Memphis
Miami
Bulls
Spurs
Okc
Golden state
Knicks
Boston
Denver

I would hate to give up oka, but we'll still have nene and get moute and or udoh who can defend the basket a well
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft
mike, hakeem and Barkley on the same team!!!!

porter may be the nxt ummm luol deng at best...but how hard is that to come by??...look at jimmy butler, look at iman shumpert...sound exactly lik what people want porter to be...

Ersan had the 4th best 3pt % this yr...2nd last yr

Our development team suck...especially for forwards...
I could understand if we were drafting oladipo, but other than him theres no game changer in this draft with a good acl...

Ersan can change our team...everytime he subs the opp will have to make adjustments...I would even like to see him an vesley at sf and pf combo...

Wait, did I read that right? Birdman is a top 7 center????

Yes he is...hes the only center tht plays with anywhere near the amount of energy as noah...he has a per of 27.4 in the playoffs...hes the only reason indiana didnt beat the heat...he may not score the most or rebound the most but when hes on the floor he has an incredible presence...have you been watching the playoffs????

deneem4, just an obvious follow-up - any reason why a top 7 center isn't even able to get on the floor in the last two games of the NBA finals? Never mind that Birdman's not starting, or only playing 15 minutes. Now he's not even playing? Is Spoestra on the take?

And because he plays in the last 2 games he's a top 7 center? Sure, he's a solid contributor. It will not be a shocker if he plays, but again, top 7 centers are starters - they aren't regularly racking up DNPs.

They've been getting destroyed in the paint with him.

Seriously though—Birdman is barely a top 7 center in the East, let alone the entire NBA. You cannot really believe that guy is a top 15 center, let alone top 7.

I get that its a drag to admit you're wrong, but top 7 centers aren't out on waivers half a year, and certainly aren't DNP'd regularly - spot role players are, which is what Birdman is. He's a high energy guy that depending on the circumstance is a great person to put in the line-up for short stretches. That's not a bad thing- he's just not a top player in the NBA, which top 7 centers are.

if you think Birdman is a top 7 center because of playing some good minutes on a stacked team off the bench on a few good playoff games, what do you think of Danny Green? the next MJ?

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Against Spurs, Heat are 1-2 (.333) with Andersen and 1-1 (.500) without him. In the course of a season, the difference between .333 and .500 would amount to 13.67 extra losses for the Heat, just by putting him on the court.

And Andersen's not even playing thirteen minutes per gme (12:45) in the series. If he was playing 32 mpg (normal minutes for a top 7 player) that same demonstrated negative effect would magnify those 13.67 additional losses into 34.31 additional losses during the regular season.

In the course of a season, add those 34 losses to a .500 team and you've got a 7-75 record. The numbers don't lie, deneem4. With Chris Andersen on the floor, the Heat are the worst team of all time.

Wow, you weren't kidding. Birdman has been unreal tonight! He's held Duncan to only 11 for 13 in the first half - Duncan only has 25 points so far!

What about a deal with Utah... #3, #38, #54, Vesely, Singleton for #14, #21, Kanter ?

Wizards get their air-apparent to Okafor in Kanter, and at 14 and 21 get their "two rookies"... Olynyk or Plumlee at 14, and at 21 have choices such as Karasev, Bullock, Hardaway Jr., or Mitchell.

Kanter for Vesely+3 is already even IMO. So you're then basically saying they trade us two firsts for Singleton and two seconds, which Utah would never do.

Maybe Vesely+Seraphin+3+38 for Kanter+21?
