Ridiculously ironic to think that they'll trade the same package we gave them for another above average big on an expiring contract.

Admittedly it'd make me feel much much better about the Gortat trade, just knowing we didn't get fleeced.

It is better than that for the Lakers financially. They only pay Okafor about 1.5 million for the rest of the season. To make the deal even better for the Lakers finding another team to take Okafor and give back cheaper contracts will get them under the luxury tax. If they can get the returning salary under 11.7 million, they will be under the luxury tax.

If there is pick consideration, it probably is modifying the pick the Lakers owe the Suns.
