Using who wins All-Star game MVP as your reason for saying one player is better then another is silly. The game doesn't mean jack.

Anyways, our boys repped well this weekend. Beal 2nd in 3 point contest, Wall winning dunk contest, great way to rep D.C.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

What did Bill say to Lebron?

Craig Sager during NBA on TNT's All-Star coverage tonight: Bill Russell was talking to Lebron James tonight and said "Hey thank you for leaving me off your Mt. Rushmore-glad you did....basketball is a team game- it's not for individual honors. I won back-to-back state championships in high school, back-to-back NCAA in college, I won an NBA championship my 1st year in the league, an NBA championship my last year & nine in between & that Mr. James is etched in stone."

Durant's in the 30s.

Melo almost 30.

Kyrie with 28/12

Great game so far.

I turned it off at halftime and started watchin downton abbey which I had never
really watched before. The AS could be considered entertaining in a walt disney kind
of way, but it wasn't real basketball when they don't even try to defend. I got bored
with it. I guess maybe that's just me.

Overall Im truly excited for the NBA. Maybe its just the Wiz being in the race but I truly think this 2nd half is going to be special in both conferences and I think Wall/Beal will step up to the challenge. I cant wait for this Raptors game. It sets the tone for the rest of the season. Are Wall/Beal going to now go to the next level while we go for the 3rd seed or is Toronto going to show why they are the 3 seed and Lowry/Derozan going to show that they are a better backcourt

Agreed, the team I'm really keyed in on is Toronto. They've been playing great on both sides of the ball, even though I don't think they have more talent than us. Our guys should be trying to prove that we're on their level as a team

Wall REALLY needs to contain Lowry. TOR has been just a wee bit better than us all year.
It's time for the stretch run. Make a statement. Tuesday night. Be there!

Here's a post all-star game interview with Durant who says that after the West got out to a big lead "John Wall turned the game" for the East with his "intensity on defense."

Adds an interesting wrinkle to the whole Gil v Wall 'debate'.
Good on KD for mentioning it and John for playing that way.

Imagine a Gil that got his teammates ramped up on D. That
guy would not have peaked at 45 wins.
