Sometimes KeSera is pretty good, like vs Houston.

Gortat was double-double machine 2-3 years ago and now he can't catch at least 10r often.

I think it's worth to try.

If the criteria is "sometimes" then...well...I'd suggest different criteria.

In my rating system (which is based on determining how the various categories relate to winning games), average is 100 and replacement level is 45. Seraphin's rating for the season is 12.

In his 26 appearances this season, he's been league average or better 5 times -- 19% of the time. He's been replacement level or better 7 times -- 27%. He's had a PPA of zero or worse 13 times -- 50% of the time. His production has been lower than replacement level 19 times -- 73% of the time.

How sustainable is it to only play your top 8 during the regular season? I'm affraid Whitttman's sacrificing big time for a couple wins right now. Watch Nene, Booker, and Beal go down soon because they're getting too many extended minutes. All of those guys are pretty injury-prone.

I don't see Wittman as having much choice. His starters are pretty average as a group; his bench is terrible. The owner has given a "Make the Playoffs OR ELSE" proclamation. And, Wittman wasn't the guy who assembled this roster. His job is to get as many wins as possible from the roster he's been given, and playing guys like Seraphin, Vesely, Singleton, Maynor, Temple hurt those chances.

Wittman's goal is to win games. Actually doing something in the playoffs doesn't matter a whole lot. I think he's basically decided to roll the dice, go with his core group, and hope they stay healthy enough to get a win total sufficient to reach the playoffs.

Booker has appeared in 31 games so far this season.

League average or better production: 18 -- 58%
Replacement level or better: 25 -- 81%
Replacement level or worse: 5 --
Zero or worse: 4 -- 13%

A somewhat better record of production than Seraphin. :)

this Nene injury sucks. Even if he comes back late, he'll be totally out of shape & rusty. However, I dont think its a death sentence like some do. Weve lost alot without Nene but most of the time he's been hurt, weve had other key guys out also. Then add to that we had no Harrington, no Miller, and both KS & Book are way better now than before. Still, we definitely need Nene.

With that being said, it could open up the possibility for the lineup I wanted us to maybe started at the begining of this season. Harrington at the 4 with Nene off the bench. I just wanted to see what Wall would do with a true stretch 4 and I thought Nene could dominate backups while staying healthy. I dont mind Witt giving KS or Book the start. They deserve a shot but I would be happy if Al got the nod and if he didnt, we better give him a shot if we start losing.

To me this season is about Wall now. Reminds me of last year when a ton of guys were hurt and it reminds me of when Gil 1st broke out as a star when Hughes & AJ got hurt. I say put the ball in Wall's hands, let him be aggressive, and ride or die with him. Then when Nene comes back, let him be our 6th man until we are facing an elimination game.
