Gotta do some research on my part to see IF I (also) would prefer Bargs over Hix.

Oh no... not Bargnani. He is just a *terrible* player. Awful.

I think he's a one-trick specialist who happens to be tall. How well can he succeed at his one trick and how badly does this team need it?

One trick specialists don't have multiple 20+ point games on a bad team.

Step 2: Yadda Yadda...

Would rather have Joe Johnson! Let's hope Hickson isn't needed

I think I would go Bargs over Hickson, simply because Bargs is dissimilar to Markieff. I like the Euro swag. Kinda like "give me more cowbell" Christopher Walken. Something different stands out.

That said, if the Wizards didn't already have six million swing men; I'd go Joe Johnson over the others.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Mike "Two Trick" James agrees.

He could easily replace Gooden for this year and next year and use Eddies roster spot on a draft pick. Hickson can still improve but not all that excited. Johnson probably wants to go to the Cavs or Thunder imo.

I'm sure you're right about Johnson -- most likely he winds up on the Cavs. I doubt the Thunder, however, as he must want a title -- or at least to play for one -- and he won't get there from any Western Conference team other than the Warriors.

But Bargnani... just a terrible terrible player. Hickson's not great, but he actually does contribute.

When in doubt between under-achievers like Bargs and Hickson, take the 27 year old over the 30 year old.

There should be no doubt between Hickson and Bargnani. One has been a failure in multiple NBA stops; the other is named Hickson.

Here are the 2015-2016 Wizards transactions:

Turns out Hickson filled the empty roster spot from both Hump and Blair going for Morris. Gooden is signed long-term (regardless if it's a team option--he's here to stay IMO0.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
