Dudley and Wall both threw shade at Randy.

Marcus "savior" Thornton: 2 points (1-9 fg, 0-3 3pts), 1 dime, 1 steal (-19) in 20 minutes of play.

Really had to have Thornton, no way Oubre could have helped this team.

So would it be genius EG if we tank the rest of the games? We keep the pick and get a true backup PF for nothing. But this is the Wizards....so will not happen....<sigh>...

You have to give him some undefined, indeterminate, possibly infinite period of time to adjust. Patience paid off with Morris. Wizards would have lost that game if not for Morris…oh wait…never mind.

These last four straight losses and the traded pick have made me strangely gleeful.

Ernie is such a genius.

What happens if next season Morris has a felony conviction?

Pack it up pack it in, let the job searches begin lol. Season over....... there is very little chance we make a run for it now. . . . . Best case EG get canned before the lotto takes place and we land top 3 pick...... and we let our new GM and HC pick a real stud. But that is best case and what are the chances of that happening.

Since we are talking Les Boulez, slim to none.

Yes. The sky is falling.

Will the sun come out tomorrow? (Metaphorically - via the canning of that hirsute charlatan -- of course)?

Nope - it's probably too late. Our pick right now is 13th. Top 9 protection means we have to CATCH 4 teams that are "behind" us.

Gleeful the worst case, which you've illustrated, is what will happen. I was being sarcastic on the "genius".

The man is a bleeping idiot as far as I'm concerned.

But isn't positioning still subject to the lottery? If so, my prediction is the Wizards will once again get the 3rd pick. They will somehow epically blow this pick on some Vesely-like player, or some tragically injury-plagued player like Oden. Or they trade the pick, because the chance to get Dwight Howard/Carmelo Anthony/Blake Griffin/Ryan Anderson was just too good to pass on.

By record or luck, they will continue this pattern, making poor draft picks or trading for long odds players on the downside (Isiah-Knicks style), finally bottoming out in the 2021-2022 season, where they have the worst record in the history of the NBA and win the #1 pick in a lottery ping pong ball landslide that kills commissioner Silver, with only his hand protruding from the white mountain of death, holding the winning card.

The Wizards finally get a #1 pick during a year when the top player is a truly transformative Duncan/LeBJ type (let's just call him Cecil Poole). Poole changes the way the pro game is played and retires with 4 MVPs and 6 NBA championships. He does that for Phoenix, because by 2022, the pick no longer had protection.

Terd and Ernie die around this time in a tragic church elevator barbecue accident in Key West, and decorous solemnity prevents anyone from ever calling it what it is, but it is some ******** from the steaming ******* of Satan himself. And even that will probably result in a ticket price hike.

Yes - my guess is that if the Wiz do end up with a pick, #3 is the statistically most likely pick they'll get. Keep in mind, they could end up 8th or 9th worst and still lose their pick because some teams in the 10-14 range gets lucky.

Keep in mind that #8 or #9 won't give anywhere near the amount of false hope that #3 will, therefore, it will likely be #3 from 2016 through 2021, #1 in 2022, and after that the Wizards will be banned from participating in the lottery, or the draft for that matter. Give those picks to a team who can actually use them
