I would catch around 30 regular season games for the past several years. Would attend about 5 in person.

That number is officially zero unless someone gives me free tickets.

I am done with this team. I have no obligation to continue supporting an owner who in nicer terms, is an enormous pansy who is butthurt sensitive to any criticism lobbed his way.

Peace.

I would like to take on the statement: "With basically the same lineup that made it to the second round, we missed the playoffs. Blame falls on the coach."

Last year we won 46 games, this year we won 41 games.

The east was better, good for a game or two (coach's fault)

John Wall - year over year he was worse. Good for a game or two (coach's fault?)

Otto Porter vs. Paul Pierce; I applaud giving Porter the minutes and letting him start. But Porter isn't a closer yet, good for a game or two (coaches fault)?

Garrett Temple was our 5th leading minute user. Anderson/Beal injuries (coach's fault)

You see where I am going with this - 46 to 41 games, yep, Wittman was partly to blame but I would put this much more on the roster and improvement in the east than on Wittman. I think a better coach might have got this team to 43 or 44 wins but that would be about it...

Porter played SF with Pierce at PF late last season. Gooden played a huge role last year.

Dudley vs Pierce was a big part of the difference. Defense was considerably worse. Rebounding also was problematic.

Also, last season featured Herculean contributions from Rasual Butler and Drew Gooden. Their play last season plus end of season Pierce was missing. Team chemistry with non-contributions from Anderson, Blair, Humphries, Neal, and Gooden was worse. Dudley complained about his role. Wittman didn't have the steadfast support of his players unlike earlier seasons.

I agree with earlier post that the chemistry of the team with Ariza was much better. That chemistry fell off two straight seasons despite playoff success with Pierce last year. Toronto being injured had a lot to do with that success. Pierce was also a beast that series. He was missed big time this season. Dudley was not a good fit with Porter emerging. Even EG recognized PF play to be lacking. Hickson and Morris came along too late.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Ariza was sort of a poor man's Iguodala. Good team and man defender, decent passer, unselfish glue guy who was helpful filling the lane or shooting corner threes. I was sad to see him go, even with Porter in the fold.

I do think Porter will be a better overall player soon - maybe next season - but I think the Wizards would have been much better off with an Ariza/Porter combo over the last three seasons than juggling aging and oft injured vets like Martell Webster and Alan Anderson.

I'm going to become a full-time San Antonio Spurs fan from here on out. I am flat-out tired of wasting time and money on the Washington Wizards. It's simply not worth it.

I like posting here, but as far as the team is concerned, I'm not going to post about them. I will continue to post in the politics thread, but that's about it. No more Wizards talk coming out of my mouth.

I hope they do better in the future, but it's clear that the ownership is stubborn, stupid, and the team will continue to be a laughingstock and a place that no one is going to come to unless they're vastly overpaid.

Anyway, I'm done. I didn't spend much on the team anyway, but now it's going from not much to zero....like my interest.

Peace

Well said.

I HATE that I'm a fan who doesn't know how to quit a team.

The ownership is "Stubborn, stupid", and IMO indifferent to disdainful of people like me.

how those wizards doing buuuuuuuuddy ;)

Done with this team until major changes are made in the front office (Ernie being fired). Wizards this season were too predictable, too boring, no improvement made from game 1 to game 82. It was just a waste of time.
