Re: Offseason Predictions Thread!
I predict someone's prediction will be correct, and we'll hear about it.

I like 'em Mike. I think Danny is too smart to take Dwight. I like your Beal S&T. Conley back to Memphis - but my sleeper is Philly.

Re: Offseason Predictions Thread!
^^^^^Your right King but I think if MIA strikes first on Horford or Whiteside which Riley likes to do I think Danny will have no choice but to take a chance on Dwight due to the fact they need a rim protector.
If our Pres was smart (but its Ernie) A S+T is perfect for Beal but IDK to who, DAL and NYK are interested but Knicks don't have picks.
And because our fearless Pres Ernie is already talking about being interested in Darrell Arthur Im sure we have no shot at a top tier FA so Parsons/Barnes is the ceiling
Knowing Ernie we'll sign Parsons to the max, Arthur, Sato comes over, Seraphin returns and Josh Smith

Yeah, seems about right on Wiz prediction. I'd prefer Batum, even though he's not a serious need. I know he wants to return to Charlotte but if they get Barnes, there is no need for Batum.
Agreed. I'd prefer Batum too.
I want nothing to do with Batum. I don't see much difference b/w him & Porter (although they both have different roles - I believe they were similarly effective at them). I also think Batum stepped up in a contract year. He had a slow, steady decline in Portland. He's not a great shooter & he has to continually be urged to be more aggressive. With a $20 mil+ contract, he'd have little impetus to be aggressive anymore. And I don't see a positional fit with Porter as neither is really capable of guarding 4s. I like Otto as our starting 3 and I think Otto will continue to improve.
This is all probably moot anyways because he's likely to re-sign in Charlotte. Out of the guys you listed Jeff Green & Ryan Anderson are probably the most realistic options Ernie will pursue.
I agree that EG would probably prefer Green or Anderson, but that's because EG is always a few years behind the curve. Teams have already figured out that you deal with a stretch four like Anderson by simply guarding him with a wing. It negates Anderson's primary talent on offense, and forces Anderson into a mismatch on defense.
If we're adding another forward, I'd rather it be a versatile guy like Batum. I don't really care who starts between Beal, Porter, Batum and Morris, but between the 4 of them, they should get us quality minutes at the 2, 3, and 4 for most of the game, with the ability to match up with almost anyone.

Re: Offseason Predictions Thread!
Ernie predictions:
1. If we are able to bring Satoransky over, Ernie will refer to him as "our R1 pick this year."
2. Once we max Beal, Ernie will refer to him by saying "we've got our max player."
3. We'll sign Green, and Ernie will say "we've had our eye on him for a long time. The time was right to bring him in."
4. Ernie will sign some Tier 3 nobody and describe him as "an established veteran, the kind of versatile player a good team needs."
edit: this looks to be Darrell Arthur -- make that "Tier 4", just an awful player.
Grunfail predictions:
1. Valentine, the guy most folks here would have taken w/ the 13 pick, will be a stud.
2. Isaia Cordinier, the guy Atlanta took w/ the R2 pick they got in the Oubre deal, will turn out to be a stud.
3. At least 2 of the 4 guys I would acquired by using our #13 pick creatively will turn out to be studs.
4. Patrick McCaw and Daniel Hamilton, the #38 and #56 picks, taken by teams better than the Wizards whose GMs thought it was smart to trade into R2, will be studs.
Why are the decks stacked against us prediction:
Ernie will twist his ankle next December and claim it was his injury that kept us out of the playoffs again next year.
Smart move by Wizards prediction:
Ernie will fire Durant's high school coach, whom he hired to attract KD, saying: "We don't need that guy any more."
Ted the strategist prediction:
Ted Leonsis will look in every drawer in his desk but be unable to find his original 10-point plan. He will also be unable to remember it. Also unable to create a new plan.

Re: Offseason Predictions Thread!
Can we still call the Danny to set up a date for KD and Kirk Cousins on Redskin One? Or would that be too little too late?
