But I still wish he were coming back on the broadcasts!!

The only consolation is Phil will be in studio pre and post game... and doing the 3 man booth games.. or rather the 2 dudes, 1 woman booth since it's very likely Kara Lawson is his replacement.

Almost everybody hated to see Phil leave, but I'm happy if Kara Lawson is his replacement.

Glen and Dave? No thank you.

Kara? Nope. Too clinical. Really boring. Never played in the NBA which is fine for play by play, but not great for an analyst.

ADK? Now you're talking.

Kara is clinical but I think she will get better as she relaxes.

Or perhaps she's just boring.

I still think I could prefer her over Phil, because "clinical" could also be defined as "technically proficient with probative insights".

I think she is a good analyst.

(I remember Kara Lawson as a high school All American from NOVA going to powerhouse Tennessee).

Ruzious, I can't get past the images in my mind of early 80s Adrian Branch on campus at Maryland. It trips me out that he and Boomer Esiason are famous; and, that Leonard Bias died ... 31 years ago.

Branch is a very solid analyst.

Yeah, it's natural to enjoy seeing people from our past doing well - even if we didn't know them personally. I saw Branch do a game last year, and he's hardly changed - looks like he can still play. And it doesn't hurt that he's telegenic. If Chris Webber can do this, so can Adrian.
