I thought this would be the year that Wall FINALLY got off to a good start.

Hmm. Clarkson, Warren, and Jarrett Allen will all be EG flub ups.

Before you continue to wax poetic about TJ Warren, let me remind you he's been a significantly net negative player throughout his career.

There's a strong tendency to overrate high volume shot creators who don't play a lick of defense. Especially after they've had a good game.

He had a good night last night. On his career, overall, he hasn't been much of a player. Clarkson isn't any good either. Which doesn't mean Ernie was smart to trade the pick for a little cash.

There have been *plenty* of EG flubs, of course: Vesely, Singleton, Mack, Sato (instead of Crowder? Green?), the pointlessly traded #46 pick that year which could have brought us O'Quinn, GRIII (for whom we actually had to give another R2 pick), letting Booker go while keeping Seraphin, waiving Mack (who at least turned into an NBA player), the idiotic Okariza trade that cost what $45m & built nothing for the team, the FA signings of Harrington & Maynor, letting Temple (a bargain back-up) walk, trading a lottery pick (!) for Markieff Morris (!) whom the Suns had tried unsuccessfully to trade all year, the disastrous off season moves of a year ago that brought in Nicholson & Burke & Mahinmi & led to another horrible trade costing us yet another R1 pick....

It's hard to think of a single NBA GM who has had a worse record of moves in the last 6 years. Fortunately, the ping pong balls gave us Wall & Porter, & a rare moment of cleverness on EG's part brought us Oubre.

Oh well... it's not news, is it? Yet, it's remarkable every time you look back on it. Really amazing.

Y’all know the rules...you are what your record says you are. You know what good teams do when they play bad teams like the lakers and the suns? They beat them. I have to accept that the wiz are not a good team. If john has a bad game we lose no matter if the rest of the squad goes off. It’s hard for me to say its the bench right now. Seems like my team is broken and it does bode well that the cavs are coming to town. To get to 50 wins they have to win ALL of the games they are supposed to win and then beat a few good teams on the road. D—-pressed

No Porter, and basically no Oubre, really hurt us. The defense was shocking in the 3rd and 4th. Beal played well in the 1st and 2nd, had a great 2 man game going with Gortat. Then they went away from it.... Wall's fault or coach?

I think we left the 2nd unit in too long thinking the lead was insurmountable.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Hopefully the coaching staff will look back at film of each of the past three losses where the Wizards had 20 point leads in each game. It is important to know how they lost the leads.

That's at least the second time here someone's recently said Clarkson stinks. I gotta strongly disagree. While his to's should be lower, and his steals are down, he's a really versatile guard who could start at either the point or the 2 and is a terrific 3rd quard. He's gone through the Kobe ball-hog era and the mish-mosh of a team they put together last season, and now that they seem to have a direction - and maturing players around him, he's thriving. He's really the best guard on the Lakers right now.

BTW, according to win/share per 48, it is Josh Hart.
