No, I think he just got out-played by a more talented player.

lol you counted my post knocking Gortat...impressive. I hope you ran a script to do that....

But seriously my concern is this. Gortat is a starter in the NBA and one that demands the ball. When you demand the ball...you are criticizing heavier when you do nothing with it...and gortat did NOTHING with the ball- tough match up or not. It wasn’t like Gortat shot was being blocked.

Plus you will see that when the Polish Hammer goes off...I praise him heavily. I think Gortat (like Wall and Beal) is harder on himself than any of us ever could be. I’m A Hammer fan but the Miami game was abysmal-

I might have been off by a couple. Gortat doesn't demand the ball at all. He was rated the best screener in the NBA by far last season - one of the new fangled stats that are kept, and he's a screen and roll guy who catches the ball and lays it in. He is what he is - a decent starting center who helps the Wiz win games. he doesn't get a lot of 1 on 1 opportunities unless the Wiz are trying to exploit a miss-match. He's not elite, and he's going to get over-matched against some of the more talented centers in the NBA.
