Damn, Bol Bol knows how to write! Probably helps to have an editor, but the kid is only 18 and that's not bad at all...

Player Tribune articles are ghost written.

"Like nearly every post on the site, the Ortiz essay was not written directly by its bylined athlete but instead crafted from a recorded interview with a Tribune staff producer. Hoenig said these interviews are less traditional question-and-answer sessions than monologues with questions to nudge the conversation along. Editing is minimal, he added, and the athletes get the final approval. The staff producers who talk to them do not get bylines."

It makes sense that they have ghost writers. How many times have you read an interview from an athlete and thought ‘is the reporter trying to highlight that this player speaks in jargon instead of complete grammatically accurate sentences to make this person look dumb?’. I honestly dont care what the player said as much as what he meant. So in other words, clean up the interview so that i can understand it...thanks.

That interview is good. I doubt he would have got much run at Kentucky so I would have went to the Ducks too. Honestly if you not a guaranteed One and Done you cant go to Kentucky because if you dont start year one YOU MAY NEVER START because they bringing in 5 guys that are going to be great year after year.

It was great to hear about the memory of Bol...but I know so many Africans that dont know their age its crazy. Y’all remember Freddi Adu... born in 89...yeah ok...lol

Yeah I have no problem with it. It's another way to write an athlete profile piece.
