The Wizards in 5 years

Post#1 » by Chocolate City Jordanaire » Thu Dec 14, 2017 10:18 am

I figure between now and 2023, lightning might strike. This team might become a winning organization.

( Or, it'll be what it's been the last 37+ years...)

Just for giggles I thought I'd put this out there:

1. Wizards owner
https://www.forbes.com/profile/laurene-powell-jobs/

2. Wizards coach

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Pierce

3. Wizards lead assistant coach

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kara_Lawson

4. The Wizards will become NBA champions in the year 2021.

5. The Wizards roster? Who will be on the Wizards in 5 years? Who among the current roster players will still be a Wizard???

I'll stop there because it's late at night and I'm just tripping

I don't see Paul Pierce as a head coach, but Kara Lawson as assistant coach seems plausible. Although, my guess is that Lawson moves on to be an on-air analyst for ESPN (or whatever network is broadcasting national games). She's really good, and it doesn't hurt that she checks all the right demographic boxes.

I guess it could be worse, Dan Snyder could decide he wants to ruin another DC Sports franchise and buy the Wizards.

Okay, let me tweak what I see happening in 5 years.

Do you remember Conan O'Brien's show when they used to sing "In the Year 2000"?

https://youtu.be/Vm8S331kUPQ

Well, I'm talking about the year 2023. Something is going to be different. By then there will be a head NFL and/or NBA coach that is a female. Or there will be an owner who is female in one of those leagues.

Seems to me a female coach and a female general manager and a female owner would really make a lot of money for their franchise. Women have been wanting to replace men for a long time anyway. Think of all the marketing t-shirts and commercial stuff that they could generate!

On a tangent I sure am glad they finally arrested the ex-wife of Lorenzen Wright. All my family is from Memphis, Tennessee. I have an ex-wife that I wish could be arrested for something but I don't want to wish that on her cuz it could happen to me. This rant is that I am happy to finally somebody's ex-wife is getting what they have coming to them...

Stream of Consciousness I'm supposed to be talking about the Wizards 5 years from now I know...

If I had to guess right now I would say that in five years the one player who will still be a Wizard is Bradley Beal.

I am thinking right now that John's knees and John's contractor are going to make something change. In five years he would be a 32 year old guard but there are so many good guards out there. He first became a wizard in like the year 2010. I just see him on another team within 5 years.

I believe Otto Porter will prove to be a very attractive trade piece and I think that stuff when Wall wanted Paul George revealed that Wall does not value Porter as much as others do in this organization. So my prediction is that Otto might be the one traded for a big man whoever that big man is...

Kelly Oubre probably should be a Wizard in 5 years. So make that Beal and Oubreray are still on the Wizards in 5 years.

Kara Lawson is definitely going places.
