His two-point field goals are down from 48% to 44%.
His PER is down from his career-best 23.1 to 19.4.
WS/48 is down from .149 to .114.
His points per 100 possessions or down from 31 to 27.
Right now last year looks like the aberration or outlier. The improvements he had made are gone. Last year it appeared as if his performance was going to match up to the contract that he signed.
Now it does not.
Wall has been a 78%-80% free throw shooter the last five seasons. I think this season should be considered the aberration or outlier, not last season. Wallstar's FT shooting will improve and I suspect so will many of the other #s that you cite.
The free-throw shooting is just part of it. His field goal shooting went up last year and now it's back to career level.
My only concern with John Wall is the condition of his knees. He still goes up for dunks. He is still fast. However, I'm not confident that he will stay healthy. In fact I rather doubt he will.
I think he is playing hurt right now.
