But it is the right way to play and hero/ISO ball is only good in short dosages when you need a basket late in the shotclock or late in quarters or games.
It wouldn’t work against okc...
For one you have Adams
For 2 u have George
For 3 you have Robinson
For 4 you have Westbrook
For 5 you have that other ugly dude
U can’t compare playing the worst team in the league with the best defensive team in the league...
They don’t miss rotations or get lost in screens...
Good defensive teams force you to play hero ball...they scout and mess up your schemes okc does that to a lot of teams...
Only way we could’ve beat them is being aggresive and tough in the paint we didnt
You really think that moving the ball isn't a good idea vs. good defensive teams? I can't believe that.
Moving the ball is more important vs. good defensive teams than vs. bad ones. The ball moves faster than any human being, no matter how good an athlete he is or how quick he is.
Of course they scout you -- but you scout them as well.
Now, for sure, the better the team you're playing the less likely it is you beat them -- that's what it means to say they're "better" than another team: they don't lose as often! But you are sure as h#ll not going to beat them playing hero ball.
Nor did we lose b/c we weren't "aggressive & tough in the paint." We lost b/c we turned the ball over 23 times & played no defense anywhere on the floor.
...still working on who "that other ugly dude" is -- you don't mean Carmelo, do you?
Gotta be Dakari Johnson.
