No. Wall is pretty close to maximizing his assist count here because we run an offense that puts the ball in his hand about as much as humanly possible. Certainly he'd get fewer assists in LA and San Antonio than he does here. And he'd make the offenses worse in Houston and Golden State because he would detract from their spacing by replacing a guard with superior shooting skills.

He could probably average a few more assists in New Orleans because Davis is a better roll threat and Mirotic and Moore are comparable shooters to Porter and Beal.

His assist total in Charlotte would probably be about the same as here, maybe a bit less because their wings don't shoot as well as ours.

Yeah, this.

I actually remember reading a study somewhere showing that Wall actually benefits quite a bit by the scorers table at Capital One Arena being very generous with giving him assists that could easily not have been.

Also he would 100% average fewer assists with San Antonio lol. They're the slowest team in the league and feature DDR and LMA

Wall has changed his game this year, it looks like to me. He has become a shoot first PG. He gets 2-3 assists in garbage time, when the game is way out of hand. Till then, his game is to shoot first.
If he reverts back to last years Wall, then he may get 12 assists on average with the LAL.
Rockets and Warriors have enough ball handlers based on the type of offense they run. Wall will average about the same as he is now on those teams.

Part of that is because we are playing small ball. Last year, he usually ran a pick-and-roll with the center, drew in a third defender, and kicked it to an open shooter. This year, with 4 other shooters on the floor, Wall is getting a lot more opportunities to go one-on-one against a smaller defender (or a slower defender off a switch) and take it to the rim himself. Teams aren't leaving the shooters to help on his drive so Wall just shoots rather than passes.

I think Wall's decision-making this season has been just fine, with the exception of the nightmarish turnover-fest in Memphis.

A lot of the turnovers when I'm watching (and watching less this year than ever) are when he tries to whip the ball to the corner without penetrating. He's got to penetrate to draw the double and open the passing lane. Otherwise, it's ridiculously easy to pick off his passes.

Wall is overpaid just like Bradley and Otto and every other Wizards also. Coach. a joke

Maybe the Globetrotters - since they always play against a team from Washington.

He can average 18 assists playing with Marbury overseas in China.
