Dont look now, but it was more like ((Gortat + Oubre) OR (Oubre + Rivers)) = 1/2 year rental of Ariza. I have an incredible urge to go take a dump every time I think of it as Gortat + Oubre. Chances are Ariza will walk. So it could end up being Gortat + Oubre + Ariza for NOTHING. I'm sure there is an alternate universe where this is a good thing. We need to send EG back home.

Oh... it was even worse than that -- much worse!

It was the #18 pick in 2014, the #19 pick in 2015, the #45 pick in 2015 & our 2019 R2 pick (@ # 34-36?) in return for 50 games by Ariza at the end of his career (when he is *not nearly* the player he was with us the first time).

Let me put it another way: since we picked Sato in R2 we have had 8 R2 picks. Those are all gone. So are our 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022 R2 picks, plus our 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017 R1 picks.

That's 12 R2 picks & 4 R1 picks (one of them a lottery pick). All those picks are gone.

In the deals to p#ss away those 16 draft picks, we also added Jodie Meeks, Jason Smith, & millions of dollars of cash.

What did we get for all that? Well, we have Sam Dekker. He is a legitimate R1 pick. We have the rights to Aaron White. & we have the rights to Issuf Sanon. Those 2 weren't good picks, but still... lets make it 3 R1 picks & 10 R2 picks.

So, for 3 R1 picks, one a lottery pick, & 10 R2 picks, plus Meeks, Smith & millions of $$ what do we have? We have Ariza for 50 games, & we have the expiring Markieff Morris (a very bad player).

That is some kind of work by an NBA GM... wow!![/quote]

Last night leaving the game I offhandedly
said to a couple walking just outside the
arena, "how's Grunfeld keep his job?"
The female of the couple without hesitation
said something that rhymes with he duck bricks.
A lot of what we call 'thought' is just mental activity

When you are accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression

Those who are convinced of absurdities, can be convinced to commit atrocities

Worse yet, Leonsis actually thinks Ernie is good at his job.

Any team that drafted Jan needed to be prepared for a long-term developmental plan. The Wizards are run by Ernie Grunfeld.
