who cares what those guys have to say..them having russ on a list of top 5 contracts is irrelevant. theyre on a podcast for a reason.

The case for giving it to him is that he becomes a stronger trade asset, assuming he keeps putting up these numbers. Because teams might offer more for a guy locked up through the length of his prime. Most likely a younger team that's ready to break out but not quite good enough to attract good free agents for a while, and doesn't have to worry about salary.

But beyond that, the Beal wiz are underrated in regards to how bad they've been. Brad has escaped a lot of negativity because expectations for the team are zero and he's putting up some great numbers on offense, but this team is bad bad bad in a way that John wouldn't have been able to get away with without a lot of shade and articles written about.

Beal is the second coming of James harden. Give him what ever his asking price is. Get rid of wall contract then I consider that a successful offseason.
