Westbrook has now lost 22 of his last 29 playoff games going back to 2016 Western Conference Finals where OKC blew that 3-1 lead to GSW. 23 of 31 if you count the play-in games.

Last 8 postseasons:

FG% are 41%, 42%, 40%, 39%, 40%, 36%, 42%, and now 33%.

3pt %'s are 22%, 28%, 32%, 26%, 36%, 32%, 24%, and right now 00%.

Turnovers are 4.0, 4.4, 4.3, 6.0, 5.2, 4.6, 3.8, and now 5.0.

YIKES! That's gotta be all-time bad (or close), accounting for usage.

Yup. I was truly stunned looking at it on BBallRef

It sort of makes sense though. Pace slows down in the playoffs. Russ plays his best when his team pushes the pace and plays up-tempo basketball. When teams make Westbrook operate in a halfcourt set, he struggles.

This is something I'll never be able to prove, but I suspect that Russ' personal rebounding drive actually works against him in the playoffs. Instead of being at halfcourt ready to receive a pass from a big, and keep pressure on with a fast pace, Russ is catching the ball 5ft from the basket and then trying to move things.

It's a huge difference, especially against locked in playoff defenses.
