You can picture it like a thrift store version of the Milwaukee Bucks if you need a current example.

Brilliant minds... I was just about to say - What will make Unseld look like a genius - he will figure out how to play Gafford with Bryant/Harrell for 15 minutes a game, and it will work - following how Milwaukee used BroLo.

To tell the truth I did have him in mind. I think might well be an all star more than once before his career is over.

I didn't mention him, because I didn't feel like undertaking the battle that I felt certain it would provoke. But, yes, Bryant just turned 24 & has shown tremendous potential. &, for sure, were he & Gafford able to be on the court together, it could be quite dynamic.

As you know, I also like Harrell a whole lot. I wouldn't say he's got "star" in his future, but he doesn't need to either.

It'll be interesting to see how we manage to retain Harrell, Bryant & Gafford. It'll be a trick. Ideally, we need to move Bertans & Kuzma. That too will be a trick.

Gafford with Bryant for 16. Gafford with Harrell for 16. Bryant with Harrell for 16.

The most speculative part of that has nothing to do with either Bryant or Harrell: can Gafford play that many minutes. If so... watch out!!

Of course, that uses up all the minutes at 4 & 5 w/o Rui, Deni or Kuzma seeing the floor. Not going to happen....

But the reason it won't happen is because Bryant and Harrell playing together doesn't make sense - not because all 3 of Rui, Deni and Kuzma have to play PF in order to play effectively.

It might not make sense, to be sure. But... thats why you try things -- to find out whether they make sense.

It can with Rui out, but there's also Bertans.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
