It would be great to give POTG to KCP -- & his work would have gotten it too, on many nights. But... not tonight.
In the end, it just has to be Trez! Again. How not?
We won this game, because we got 99 shots to their 88 shots & 21 FTAs to their 14. That should be obvious. Extra possessions.
Montrezl Harrell is the reason we had those extra possessions. He dominated the defensive board -- keeping Atlanta's offensive rebounds to only 6 as a team. Then he went out & got 6 of our 14 all on his own. Not to mention going 10-16 -- including A couple of 3-pointers he was essentially forced to take as the clock ran out.
POTG -- Montrezl Harrell. Without the slightest doubt.
nate33 wrote:I have Beal as POTG. His efficiency was only so-so, but it's harder for guards to score with efficiency this year given the rule change on drawing fouls. Ultimately, I thought Beal took nothing but good shots within the rhythm of the offense, and he was unselfish, making the right pace and the right read throughout the game. He was also quite good defensively. 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 1 turnover.
Harrell was 2nd
KCP 3rd
