Bertans is much better defensively- so it isn't as bad as at used to be when playing him when his 3 point shot wasn't falling. It can be attributed to most of the time that the WIzards were spending in training camp focusing on that.

Also some of the bad play can be attributed to lack of communication. In the last 2 games, there were a couple of instances of Bertans cutting to the basket while his teammate threw a bad pass. Only Beal, Deni, and Neto have played a significant amount of time with Bertans- maybe more synergy will develop with Dinwiddie, Kuzma, KCP, Harrell, Holiday, and Kispert.

Bertans will still keep getting his chances because of the lack of options behind him. Even Kispert isn't really blowing it away from 3 point range and is actually worse defensively than Bertans (although he is doing a much better job cutting to the basket/converting). Ditto for Deni although he does provide a lot more defensively than either.

As far is this game goes, I don't really think Bertans got any good looks. Overall very good defense by the Spurs.
