John is jacking up a few too many shots for my taste tonight. He's got Mason in there and Young to set up.

why arent we playing zone? We keep getting Dray caught on wing players in an iso. Atleast go inside on the other end

He still plays young-minded.

When he's on he keeps wanting to attack, but he forgets he's a PG at times.

I wouldn't say Wall is jacking shots, 80s. He's taking good shots, and generally passing when he doesn't have one (that last one late in the shot clock notwithstanding). He's playing very efficiently on offense, and he's having his way with Portland's defense. Not gonna complain about that, myself.

Heh. Wall looks like he KNOWS he's the best player on the court. I like that.

Why do the fans boo Blatche so much? I almost feel sorry for the kid haha.

Yeah. Plus, if he's "on", then I don't really want him to be looking for others as 1st priority. He should be trying to create for himself and set others up if nothing is there for him.

They are showcasing him, which doesn't really make sense. I guess they feel he's not 100% yet so he's playing 15-20 mpg. If they don't trade him, just sit him for his calf injury and play Veseley those minutes.

That's great if the team is winning. I like my point guard to set others up first unless he's the only scorer on the floor. But that's just me. I know he's faster than Felton and he's trying to abuse that matchup but if you can find an open guy while driving, why not pass it?

Wall has 23 points on 19 shot attempts, 6 assists and 0 turnovers. He can keep doing exactly what he has been doing.

He made his own bed by showing up out of shape and being named captain. F-em.

The booing of Blatche is starting to annoy me a bit. He is trying hard out there.

This is starting to feel like a loss.

Portland is hitting all FTs. They are out-rebounding the Wizards. They are getting to the line, because they are getting in the lane more.

Hero ball is in full swing.

Dray is still hesitating and is so confused. Again Witt, either play zone or take Dray out. He cant cover Wallace on the iso. Also, why do we always give Dray the ball on the weak post? He never gets to go with his strong hand. Its gonna be a soft move or a fadeaway right there every time

This is the part of Wall's game somebody has to bring up: Felton is getting to the basket.

Indeed. It looks like the Blazer's wing defenders are staying home rather than collapsing to stop Wall's drives... which means that passing out to shooters is more difficult, but taking it to the rim is the smarter choice.

So he's driving. That's a good thing.
