Re: 2026 First Round Pick Armageddon
Anyone subscribe to Nate Silver's PRISM thing? I was encouraged by Wilson showing up there.
If he falls, I'd snap him up. If we get lucky, I'd take CW pretty high, maybe before DP. PRISM saying Boozer is
maybe a good reason to re-think the objections I and others have stated/felt that have been bought up about him.

I posted about this earlier today in the draft thread:

Now we just need some luck, assuming you believe it's not fixed,
or a friend in high places if you believe it is.

I don't know why but man does it ever feel like the 48+% chance of drawing 5 is more like 65% on those ----ing simulators. Feels like every five times I do it, I draw 5 four or five times.

I just did it 20 times. 10 times the 5th pick and 10 times the top 4. Probability is funny though. When I was diagnosed with cancer 16 years ago the oncologist had lots of statistics. Ultimately you either die or you don't. He said if the aggressive cancer didn't kill me fairly quickly the indolent component likely would within ten years. Not yet.

3 more weeks of watching playoff basketball to get through before we get to see if our luck tanks as badly as our team.

Damn dude, just let us be bummed about the Wizards instead of bringing us down more with the cancer talk.
I kid, of course. Glad you're still around! Keep kicking cancer's butt!!!! If you can survive the Grunfeld era, you can survive anything.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot? Urinal cakes!

Haha! They'll never say I'm cured but it's all good. We even adopted a thirteen year old kid this year so he'll either keep me going or he'll be the death of me.9 and 20 wrote:Benjammin wrote:I just did it 20 times. 10 times the 5th pick and 10 times the top 4. He’s not been around long enough to reverse jinx, so if we pick end up picking fifth, you know who to blame.

I wonder if this is just bluster, or if there really is a guy he likes at 5 nearly as much as the top 4.

To state that you will accept fate is a traditional gesture designed to pacify the gods!
