Confirmed? Where. I like Huff, way underrated. Sneaky athletic for a true 7'1" center.
Katz tweeted out that we signed him to an exhibit 10 contract.

The Westbrook trade was brilliant, but the Kispert and Todd picks are pretty meh, and Aaron Holiday is nothing more than a replacement level backup PG. there were a ton of good players that went in round 2 that the wizards could've jumped in on.
I’m just confused at this point

I commend him for trading back for a guy he liked and not spending more money on him and getting a useful bench player. He could have taken him at 22 and caused a real melt down for everyone here.

Takes quite a bit of mental gymnastics to arrive at that conclusion.
Todd at 22 would have been just as bad as bad as Todd at 31.
Todd is not a better prospect than Springer, Jackson or Sharpe, and in terms of second round value he's clearly eclipsed by the likes of Wieskamp, Butler, Petrusev and Queta.
If Sheppard was so in love with Todd, and was afraid of adding a 1st round salary to the payroll, why didn't he pursue trades that would have netted the Wizards multiple second round choices?
No argument from me if we got away with a project and Butler for example.
I'll take it a step further, even the Kispert choice is questionable at best.
He parlayed a senior season into near lottery status when he was widely projected a 2nd rounder just a year earlier.
Jalen Johnson would have been risky, but he's far and away a better longterm bet than Kispert, who doesn't bring anything to the table but scoring.
The Wizards wasted a ton of opportunities yesterday.

Good prospect. If he puts on some pounds and gets stronger, he would make for a good backup C. He is listed as a PF, but I don’t think he has the foot speed to compete as one.

Huff is probably a better Prospect than Corey kispert.Ruzious wrote:WallToWall wrote:NatP4 wrote:We also picked up Jay Huff, which is great news.

This is great to hear. Agreed that he should hit the weights and get stronger. He's strictly a C.
