I think Clingan is perceived as a guy who will help immediately.

Bad teams with a long time horizon are interested in Sarr. But since they're bad, they already have a high lotto pick so there isn't much talk about moving up. Good teams are more interested in Clingan because he can help right now. Good teams need to move up because they aren't in the top of the lottery.

Saw it. Hope it does not mean Kuz will not be traded :banghead:

This front office (or is it Ted?) appear to like Kuz’s marketability very much…

If SAC offers #13 in this draft, take it. I rather take a chance on Collier, Carrington or Carter than keep Kuz and his inefficient brand of basketball…

It's not just that Kuz is in the photo - it's also that Deni is not in the photo!

Well, I’d expect Kuz to be in the photo. He and Poole are, after all, the most well known Zards. I am surprised that Deni’s not getting any love.

2029 second via Dallas.

Nets get

Hornets
Kuz
Poole

Wizards: get picks and flexibility

Nets free up anton of cap room and replace Ben with two solid bench rotation caliber players. The 2025 suns pick is probably the least valuable and it makes sense to get Ben off the team so they can go free agent shopping.

The hornets can go and improve now in a draft they might not value. Kuz and Poole put that team a head of a few teams.

Even something simpler involving Simmons and a first for Kuz and Poole works for me.
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen

I told you so :banghead:

On the Jarrett Allen discussion, just thought of the following 3 way trade right before the draft:

MEM trades Kennard, LaRavia + #9 and gets Allen + 26
CLE trades Allen and gets Kuzma
WAS trades Kuzma+26 and gets #9, Kennard, LaRavia

Why is Cleveland trading Allen for Kuzma? I think those two teams would just cut us out. I'd do the trade in a heartbeat if I could, though.

I do feel like a Kuz for draft picks trade has to be coming.

Also interested to see in we re-sign Tyus Jones soon. Otherwise what was the point of not trading him at the deadline last year.

Ask dckingsfan or browse a little in the 'current affairs' thread in the forum..
My guess Deni will be kept as hidden as possible for at least the next few months..

Allen has been rumored to be on the trading block for a while. Getting Kuzma would allow CLE to play Mobley in his natural position of center and have a more balanced starting 5.

Now, CLE may feel Allen is more valuable than Kuzma, which is probably right…

Interesting idea from the trade board. A GSW fan was wanting to dump the last year of Payton's deal. We have the Monte Morris exception slot that Payton could fit into. I offered to lower the protections from top 20 protected to top 14 protected for the 2030 first rounder and the GSW fan accepted it. I think it is a great trade as it gives us another movable expiring in GP3 in a BOYD deal near the deadline while giving us increased odds on getting a future 1st in 2030.

Absolutely. This is the type of deal the Wiz should be pursuing.

Me no comprende this rumor…

Read on Twitter
?s=46&t=GWeuz7j_sc5cBYZzdD92Tw

Unless this is a draft day trade where we send Kuz +#2 to ATL for a Capela + #1.

At #1 Dawkins & co secure their pick of Sarr and at #2 ATL gets Clingan..who they have been rumored to really like.

But even then, it feels like the trade is too light on value for us. We should get more from ATL, right?

Allen is more valuable because he's the better player by a decent margin but Kuz probably plays the more valuable position. Also it's kinda like the 15th best C vs the 20th best PF.

I don't buy it for a second.

We may be interested in participating in the trade with the goal of buying picks in exchange for absorbing Capela's contract, but we're not in it because we have any particular interest in Capela.

Yup…you can argue that on the face of it Allen is more valuable than Kuz. But I can see the Cavs valuing Kuz’s offensive skillset and what he’d give them as a third or fourth option.

Give me one of those ATL 2nd round picks in '26 or '28 too. We're doing the Warriors a favor by getting them under the tax.

If ATL goes Risacher at 1.01 would they accept #26 for AJ Griffin to get a little cheaper at the end of their bench and re-set the clock on a rookie?
AJ was a very solid shooter as a rookie but then out of the rotation last season. I don't think we will find a better 3+D wing late in this first round and if he plays well we can deal Kispert instead of paying him 8 figures to be a 6th man.

Well, it's all speculative in any case, meaning we are unlikely to find out what the relative values of these players are to Cleveland. But, right or wrong, the idea that any GM would value Kuzma anywhere near Allen strikes this observer as inconceivable.
