Agreed, 2'' when you're an unathletic center is a big deal.

Aldrich is getting hammered by the Northern Iowa center. He's getting backed down on the low block. I thought Aldrich's 'lower leg strenght coordination' is his strength? Perhaps he could use a little more coordination?

I've seen a lot of people say Aldrich reminds them of Haywood. I guess I don't see it much, he has pretty good hands and isn't completely awkward with the ball in his hands. Aldrich me of Eric Montross as a college center. Remember that old lumbring center from UNC? He was a good college center, terrible in the pro's.

Uggg, Eric Montross could score, but he was a truly awful defender at UNC - Joe Smith had field days against him. Aldrich might not be a great athlete, but he's far more athletic than Montross - and a very solid defender.

Anybody think Ali Faroukmanesh(sp?) can play in the NBA? Dude is a stone cold killer from the outside. Maybe he wouldn't even want to play in the NBA. He could probably be a superstar in Europe.

Aldrich appears to have solid fundamentals and has a few go-to move in the post, but I can see this guy getting killed by many a NBA center and pushed around by quite a few PF's as-well. Aldrich appears a bit soft.

Yes. And similarly, no to all repudiations, amendments, stipulations, and most importantly - to all abjurations.

I see that there can be no peaceable resolution of our differences. It was inevitable that it should come to this, two posters of such forceful presence and yet so opposite moral compasses could not but come into conflict. Fair-minded as I am I submit that we should turn to the most true and reliable judge upon this board to resolve this. Lyrical Rico is the worst talent evaluator. As for who reminds me of Brendan Haywood.

There's an overlooked reason why Kentucky could afford to play big Cuddy so few minutes per game, sub him out whenever he takes a foul, but not suffer much drop off. Everytime Daniel Orton steps on the floor the big kid has a subtle positive effect, especially on the defensive end. Fundamentally sound if not flashy or impressive. Huge, solid, with bridgespan arms, knows where to be when. He's lsited at 6'10 but has a short neck and still looks like he's an inch or so taller than Cousins.

Overshadowed by more talented teammates I expect the kid will rise up rankings as soon as his more hyped teammates step away from the squad to their professional careers. Banging against Cousins in practice has only made him a better player. Still unpolished on offense, but can catch and finish alright. It's early yet, but he'll make a mark once he gets a bit more run and cuts down on the fouls.

^ Orton was solid, but he seemed to also make some dumb plays. He strikes me as a having a big body but a low BBIQ.

Orton is mos def a phyiscal specimin - like the college version of Andrew Bynum. It'll be very interesting to see how he does next season getting starter's minutes. Him getting so few minutes is an indication of just how impressive their recruiting class was - I call it even better than the Fab 5 - Webber Howard Rose Flop Flop.

Now watch a Ray Jackson or Jimmy King fan come here and poop on my post.

Speaking of that KY class, what about Bledsoe? If he comes out, he'd probably go before the Cleveland pick, but he could slide. He could be a very nice fit with Gil. He's already proven he can excell playing with a dynamic hybrid PG.

Wow, hadn't thought about him. I think he and Gil could be very dynamic offensively but I'd still worry about either one of them guarding NBA starters at SG. Still, using Bledsoe to replace Young as our backcourt spark off the bench would be great value at #30.

Yeah, maybe some kind of 4 man rotation with Gil, Bledsoe, Livingston, and someone to be determined.

With Wes Johnson's brilliant game today, I figure he's pretty much even - if not ahead of - Aminu. His jump shot and range really stands out. I love the way Rautins plays - don't know if there's a spot for him in the NBA, but there should be.

there's something i really like about vasquez's game. wouldnt mind him at all with the 2nd round pick.

still hoping that kalin lucas lasts until the cleveland pick.
Until Grunfeld goes there is no rebuild.

I'll admit he's growing on me. His passing is really good. In fact, I think to have a big role on an NBA team he'll probably have to be a pass first type of player who gets his points in the flow of the offense rather than going one-on-one. Can he do that? That's the big question IMO.

Hopefully we can get someone like Lucas with the Cleveland pick. I have Lucas as my 30th pick along with 2 other PGs. I like what I've seen from Lucas so-far.
