Compare and contrast with Washington.

Nets got Jefferson actually.

Spurs drafted Anderson and then some Serbian kid who can't shoot who they'll stash and then bring over to work with Chip Engelland who has gotten Leonard/Mills/Joseph to all have better shots to work with him.

Spurs also sold one of their 2nd round picks because... they'll have a full roster once they re-sign Diaw and Mills...

Ernie never take risk like that. We usually trade for the left overs.

Watch his highlight reel dunks. Put him next to Wall or Beal and Burton will have a lot of space for open looks from 3. Burton will hit the NBA 3.

I know it is really vile of me, but there are days where I just want to chuck bricks at that mans head.

Wall still isn't exactly a floor spacer. And his dunks while impressive, aren't wooing me. Russ smith was THERE. If they wanted a backup guard, HE was the guy.

Rather sign monroe and blair than gortart and ariza. I hope EG bas a plan.

I expect us to be active in FA.

Thanks for correcting me on Jefferson.

If SA does get Diaw resigned, he has a fine similar player to mentor in Anderson.

Why do you expect a team with Ernie to be active in free agent?

I won't argue that Smith wouldn't have been a very good pick.

Isn't it ironic that the two players that the Wizards are about to offer what will probably amount to about 80 million dollars combined are both second round picks?

Ariza was drafted 43rd overall

Gortat was drafted 57th overall

but yea, the second round is a complete waste.

All may not be lost. This tweet seems to be from a legitimate source:
Matt Youmans @mattyoumans247 · 1h
Deonte Burton, former UNR point guard, went undrafted but a source says he will sign with the Washington Wizards @JuliaLopez3

I'd rather have Burton than Jordan Clarkson.

I think he is better than Napier, Smith, Clarkson, Ennis, and Payton. Burton is an expert finisher.

Look at Parker, Irving, and Walker. What makes them special is their scoring. Irving, Curry, and Lillard kill from deep range. I think Burton will be like Lowry and Lawson. Short guys who create their own space. He's going to bring scoring like a young Derrick Fisher.

This could be a good player. Burton has the right skill set to impact this team very positively.

I hope so. But in order for him to make the team, he has to play really well in SL and if he makes it to preseason, he's going to have to shine there as well. It's a longshot.

He can play really well and Ernie will still cut him

Like he can average 30 PPG in Summer League and won't make it to the roster

I hate Ernie.

I worry about Sam Cassell. Sam hated Shelvin Mack. Burton is legit but I don't think they'll respect him beyond coaching or lack thereof.

Agreed. Thanks for sharing why many of us don't respect the work of the man in your avatar.

U would think we would've learned about giving the lakers our point guards.
...example kendall marshall
we shouldve kept clarkson...
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft
mike, hakeem and Barkley on the same team!!!!

Return to Washington Wizards
