My bad, is there a trade that includes Simmons and Harden between Philly and Houston that optimizes the trade for both teams (that doesn't include picks)?

I'd say Simmons, Maxey, Fergusons, Scott, Bradley for Harden + Tucker.
Philly:
Harden / Curry
Green / Curry
Thybulle / Tucker
Harris / Tucker
Embiid / Howard

- Best array of top talent and great complimentary pieces

What does that leave Houston with?

It's instructive to point out the slight error in the above -- what's important in the game is not the ability to shoot. It's the ability to score. A different thing.

Scoring is not Simmons' greatest skill, but he did put up 20 points per 40 minutes this year at a TS% of 60.2% That's a good scorer not a bad one.

You could be right. But obviously it’s far too early to tell for sure. My guy Okoro is also going to be in the "best" discussion. :D

Isaac scored 18 pts in his debut, going 6-of-9 from the field and 2-of-4 from 3. He scored the game winning shot with one second left. And we already know he's an outstanding defender.

Not convinced yet. He looked great until it came to putting the ball in the basket. Shot is ugly.

So far, the best PG performance has been Theo Maledon of OKC. Saw some of Malachi Flynn and he looked good.

Not impressive starts for Halliburton, Hayes, Anthony. Hayes looked especially lost out there.

Looking forward to Kira Lewis. Thought he may be the best of the lot.

That may be the case, but I don't think the performance last night proves it. He had several really flashy passes, but he also went 0-5 from the floor and had 4 turnovers to accompany his 4 assists. The 10 rebounds were an amazing number for 16 minutes of play, but I assume it was a bit of a fluke.

The guy that impressed me that game was Malachi Flynn. He had 9 points on 7 shots (should have been 11, he missed 2 FTs), 4 assists and 0 turnovers while posting a +/- of +35 in 20 minutes of play. He just looked sharp and in control.

Toronto's backup shooting guard, Matt Thomas, a second year player, reminds me of a slightly better version of Garrison Mathews. Dude will shoot from anywhere and never misses. He was 4-7 from 3-point range in 22 minutes. He also can make some plays off the bounce. He dished out 5 assists.

I personally think the heat would be down right silly to trade hero and duncan for James harden. But that's just my opinion. They would be better off going after a rose or someone cheaper that can fit better with Jimmy.

And he's got some internal demons to deal with but Terence Davis made the all-rookie team last season as an undrafted rookie and still seems to be pretty good. It shows how Toronto has been managing to build a consistent winner lately: Charlotte has all these lottery picks and they're okay, but the Raptors always pick in the 20s and sometimes trade their picks and yet the Raptors consistent find and develop significantly better young talent every single season.

I was not impressed with Lamelo Ball- I only watched the 1st half and it is preaseason but not putting the ball in the hoop gave me PTSD of Lonzo Ball and his lack of shot creation over the last few seasons.

Ahem... Nate Hinton completely dominates in Dallas win!

(Ok ok... a slight overstatement -- but, he looked extremely good. No surprise to me!

Too early to say so, but I'm happy for the Hornets. They really deserved it. That said, kids got to work on his shot.

Happy for Giannis that he secured his bag, also happy for the small market of Milwaukee that was able to keep him

This is also good for the potential trade market for either Beal or Westbrook. Teams positioning themselves for Giannis are suddenly flush with cap room and there's not much to spend it on.
