Until Wall gets back, they look like the starters to me.

Pargo, Beal, Webster, Nene, and Seraphin can get it done. I know Okafor can rebound better, but I bet Kevin might be more effective at C.

I am very pleased to see a player I had written off step up his game. Chris Singleton is going to be much better and he will play. I have been very wrong about him.

Seemed like Price and Ariza found their way a bit more in the third, but IMO both should be way down on the depth chart. I know he's guaranteed and going to play, but I think Mack is better than Price.

can we start calling brad beal kill beal if he develops a killer instinct? him and martell is better than ariza crawford. with the shooting they can give us a good inside out game. lineup wall, beal, martell, nene and okafor..all high picks. with the starting unit for today being second team. id also trade ariza and crawford for a good starting small forward and include martell in the guard rotation during playoffs if we get there

also when we played charlotte someone on their board called it and said okafor would probably be out with some pansy excuse of an injury. today again he was out with something and this is starting a bad trend for me. hope this is not something he's known for

Terrific game from Martell Webster. He plays like this and, obviously, he's a great pick up.

Terrific game by Beal as well.

Very disappointing outings by Ariza, Vesely and Seraphin. Pargo was horrible.

They played Singleton exclusively at the 4, given the absence of Nene, Okafor and Booker. A little hard to judge his game. He needs to shoot efficiently to contribute, and he hasn't yet shown he can do that.

Right now, we are something of a mess.

Two games, TGW.

Beal led the team with 18 in his debut.

Though two games, Beal has 7 assists and only 2 turnovers, with 3 steals. He is 3-8 from three and 8-9 from the line. Beal is only 11-26 FG but has 33 points in limited minutes. Beal has grabbed 8 rebounds.

Yes, he's better than Wall, TGW.

He did huh? What impressed you most, going 4-11 or turning it over 6 times in 23 minutes?

Pargo was horrible; his play essentially took us out of the game in the 4th quarter. I'm no fan of Price, but he was a lot better than Pargo.

As to Kevin, he got 4 boards in 25 minutes, turned it over 3 times, and couldn't defend Chandler on the pick and roll.

Pargo faded badly. He started out making shots and dealing nice assists, but ended badly. Price was on the court when the Wizards got destroyed by the Knicks' first unit. Pargo played well during the 20-0 run, but not so after.

Personally, I think Shelvin manages a game and turns it over less than Price or Pargo. I

Yes, he's better than Wall, TGW.

Beal's debut outing was respectable, but this one was much better. His TS% on the game was .60, he wasn't loose w/ the ball at all (a steal and a turnover canceling each other out), he didn't foul much, and he recorded 5 boards and 5 assists. He isn't going to play every night at this level, but -- to give some context to what he did tonight -- if he did, he'd be one of the top handful of 2 guards in the league.

But you can't compare his play tonight, or even in his two games, to Wall's two seasons -- it isn't fair. Wall has had some nights as good as Beal's tonight. And Beal's going to have some bad nights too I'm sure.

In 6 minutes tonight, Shelvin was more effective overall than either Pargo or Price in their many more minutes.

So I wonder if B Cook is finding his way onto the team again.

Something about him just feels like a good fit for this team. Hard to describe why I say that. I just get the feeling like he belongs.

A big guy with 3 range. Scrappy. Confident for a back up player. Seem like a mature good dude. Always ready to come right in an play but doesn't expect it.

This is the way I saw it too. Martell and Beal continue to shine. I like them both a lot...both are smart AND talented AND competitive. Beal just doesn't play like a rookie...he looks like he has been in the NBA for a couple of years.

Vesely looked a lot like the beginning of last year. Love his hustle, but dude is a complete self check on offense and is still way too weak. If I had to bet, I'd bet he wont be much of a contributor this year.

Seraphin had some good moments, but the bad surpassed the good. He was out of position a lot and did a poor job on the boards. Still love his touch around the basket though.

Ariza sucked. He almost seemend disinterested. Pargo was good in first half, sucked in second.

The starting five were pretty bad. Way too much dribbling and not enough ball movement.

On a good note, if Beal and Martell Webster can keep it up, we could have a very solid starting team when Wall, Nene and Okafor are back:

Wall
Beal
Webster
Okafor
Nene

I like the combo of offense and defense that that line-up provides.

In the end, while I agree that the team was a hot mess at times tonight, I came away more optimistic about this team with how well Martell and Beal are playing. Obviously, the key will be health. I think this could be a pretty good team IF Beal and Webster continue to shine, and Okafor, Nene, Wall, and Booker come back healthy and remain healthy for the rest of the year. We shall see.

Good summaries, dandridge 10 and payitforward. Beal not only looks good, but looks good much faster than I figured, which will help this mess of a team, and will hopefully help Wall steady his game when he returns. I still would like to feel more secure about his long ball (didn't he airball one late in the game, or was that partially blocked?) but Webster, Martin, and Cook (if they keep him) off the bench at least give them some options. I'll give Pargo the benefit of the doubt, being new and still learning his teammates, but some of those passes in the 4th were just foolishness. I agree that Singleton needs more effective offense, but he played pretty tough tonight.

I know it's just a preseason game, and Nene and Wall and others were smiling toward the end of a meaningless loss, but for some reason, seeing Crawford cracking up with his team behind just...reminded me of Blatche or something.

Beal is a professional already. Everything this team needed and more.

It's too bad we struck out with guys like Vesely and Singleton who will be out of the league within 2 years. Frustrating.

Like what Webster is bringing.

Webster is the best 3 we have right now, im quite impressed. And attitude wise, it seems he really wants to be here, too.

Singleton has a ways to go, but he is improving. He played mostly PF tonight, I think. While he is able to, I think he is better as a 3. Ves wasnt great either, managed to get to the line a few times but just couldnt buy one. Needs to be more aggressive going to the hoop.

Ariza just stank up the place. He made Rashard look good.

Oh, and i didnt think Crawford's shot selection was TOO bad tonight. Only a few times was i caught thinking "nooo what are you shooting it for"
