He did have a 102 temperature two days ago. That might have something to do with it.

Yes. He did set the futility record. He broke Chris Dudley's NBA record of 13 consecutive free throws missed.

So many NBA players come down with "flu-like symptoms." Not the flu itself; just "flu-like symptoms." I suppose the road-travelling lifestyle makes them susceptible to getting sick, but I always thought was a code word for hangover.

But with 102-degree fever, I'd say that Ariza's bug was legitimate.

Keep going with that 8-man rotation. Witt. It's going to cost us going over .500. Team looks dead.

Next man up. I'd go to Seraphin or Singleton but Wittman has to go with 3 man bigs. Will not adapt.

I can't stomach another loss to the Pistons, but it's almost a given that the Wizards go on a losing streak again having reached .500.

I dunno. Unless you're gonna blame Ariza's flu and Booker's rolled ankle on the shortened rotation, I don't see the causation. Beal played light minutes last night; that hasn't stopped him from looking tentative out here tonight.

Nene is matched up with Josh Smith and keeps taking jumpers, such a joke.

Josh Smith is just killing Nene from the outside. He has to give him a few feet because he's too quick. We are screwed in that matchup.

I hate the 8-man rotation. There's no reason why you can't use Seraphin against a big team like this or Indiana. Even with Booker, he wouldn't have made much of a difference because Cheeks would have gone bigger. Now he's going with a smaller PF in Nene and he's getting abused. A shame that Nene can't take advantage of Smith inside but he might be tired.

You don't put Seraphin on Smith... or Nene or Gortat - And Vesely picked up 5 quick fouls...

At some point you just need to give maynor another shot over temple. Temple is unbelievably awful. I chuckle every time buck tries to pump temple on defense--bynum destroyed him. BTW, Beal is anything but 'untradable' and games like tonight prove that.
