Casey's mind might explode at the prospect. Not really related, but why is Porter not playing? Is he that terrible?

Simply put, yes. But he had a freak injury in the summer and he was out for all of training camp. He's behind. But he needs minutes but Wittman isn't going to give them to him and keeps playing vets over him. We haven't seen enough of him this year and Webster/Ariza are obviously much better players. Getting creative like putting one of those guys at the 4 could help.

Glen Rice Jr. who we took in the 2nd round looks like the better prospect right now. They just sent him back to the D-League. It sucks we didn't take a big in this past draft... would have balanced the roster out better.

.

Various Vegas lines have the Raptors as 5 to 5.5 point faves.

Should be a high-scoring, fast-paced game. Hope not too see too much walk-it-up basketball.

Yeah the game thread shouldn't be aboot politics, or aboot slavery or aboot racism. It should only be aboot basketball.

Subtle racism. Stay classy. Please talk about how much you dislike our team or the matchup. No need to get personal.
I will personally like to keep an eye on the big's match up. It is the key to victory with the backcourt being a general wash in production.

FYI it is rare to find someone who pronounces "about" like that.

lol a class or two below Miami/Ind. Lol.

Indiana has two players that are top 5 in the league at their position, a should-have been all-star in lance stephenson, and the best defense in the NBA. Hate to be captain obvious here, but MIA has the best player in the world, and a roster that has won back to back NBA championships. Vogel and Spo are elite coaches too.

Toronto isn't a class below them. They aren't two classes below them. Toronto is playing high school ball while Indiana and Miami are in the Final Four.

This is why everybody in the NBA thinks you guys are hilarious for acting like you're the ****. You don't see us getting all uppity after coming back to relevance.

1) Lance was not an allstar before Kyle Lowry

2) While our D is not the best in the NBA it is top 7 I would say.

3) No arguments with your MIA statements re Bron Bron and championship caliber.

4) Only reason I will say Spo is "an elite coach" is because he is endorsed by Pat Riley...people thought Mike Brown was an "elite coach" as well during his time in Cleveland

5) In no way can you say we are "high school basketball" and MIA/IND are "final four", those are 2 different leagues but I'm sure you knew that. What you probably didn't know is in our 0-3 record vs Miami our point differential is only 7. In our 1-2 record vs Indy, we beat them by 13 once, they beat us twice by 7. So by your stupid sarcastic remark what you are essentially saying is if you took a highschool basketball team and put them up against 2 seperate final four squads they would have 1 win and point differential of 7.

Are we 1 class below? That was a little generous I guess. We are 2 classes below.

I'm not getting "uppity", but thank you for clarifying why the NBA laughs at us, I will make sure I relay that to my fellow Raps fans.

1) They both should have been All-Stars. Lowry should have went in place of DeRozan and Lance should have went in place of Johnson.

2) Bobcats have a top 5 D, but still suck major ass. You need more than good efficiency to be a contender. Just look at Minnesota. They are top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency and are struggling to even make the playoffs

4) This is just false. Spo took a 15 win miami team to the playoffs in his first season, the season immediately after, they achieved 47 wins, before landing Lebron. That was with a lulzy supporting cast that included Daequan Cook, James Jones, Joel Anthony, Jermaine O'neal, and Jamario Moon. Michael Beasley was Wade's #2.

5) I was obviously exaggerating. Furthermore, point differential is a good measure of a teams overall chances of success, but you can throw it out the window once the playoffs start because it's all about matchups. Nobody in the east matches up against Indiana or Miami. Including the Raptors, even if they reach 50 wins this season. Dwayne Casey can't outcoach Spo or Vogel to make up for those deficiencies either.

1) agree JJ sucked *** but what you are saying then is that Stephenson deserved to be an allstar over DD which is not true at all (Because I could say that Lowry deserved it over JJ and DD > Lance). IMO it should have been no JJ, no Stephenson and Lowry and Demar (but I will admit that is 100% debatable)

2) Bobcats offense is horrrrrible where ours is not so that is not a fair comparison, and Minny is in the West, in the East they are playoff locks.

4) I am not saying Spo is a bad coach, just I have not seen enough without the Big 3 to say he is an elite one. The year he took MIA to the playoffs after their 15 W season, Wade was on top of the world averaging 30/7/5 and they finished 4 games over .500. They also had Haslem.

5) I agree playoffs is a different picture but I didn't mention playoffs...you did. In the regular season we are 1-2 classes below Indy / Miami, who knows what happens come playoff time.

Call it what you want, but tell me what it has to do with the Wizards facing the Raptors in a basketball game.

Raps favored by 4.5, appropriately. They're at home and they're the better team.

Wiz:
SRS: 14th
ORtg 21dt
Drtg: 9th

Raps:
SRS: 11th
ORtg: 10th
DRtg: 7th

That's all? Playing in Toronto without Nene (and possibly Booker and Seraphin) i would think the spread would be more like 25.

Unfortunately we aren't a youngish team. We are riding the backs of vets (Gortat, Ariza, Nene, Webster) just to hang on to .500.

I think he has too. Seraphin and Nene are out. Vesely was traded and Booker is gimpy. Three man rotation at the 4 and 5 with Gortat, Booker and Gooden. Possibly Ariza playing some 4 as well?

Goodness, the game thread is over 10 pgs. long, and tip off is a few hours away.

...and what's with the number of Raptor trolls on this board?

Did they forget this is a Wizards forum? When visiting someone's house, be respectful. Don't come over here, talk smack and expect Wizards fans to show any respect.

And please, keep the discussion to hoops. You would be hard pressed to find many in the DMV who care about curling or Rob Ford.
