Magic & Rob dumped Russell to get of Mozgov & let Randle walk to get CAP space... They aren’t going to dump it on Wall, in my opinion, as Ball, Hart & Kuzz are Magic’s picks... Ingram was Mitch...

All you guys need is a short win streak to get the mojo back... Good luck this season...

Capspace is only good if players want to go there. I also seem to remember that Magic & Rob thought they had Paul George in the bag, yet he snubbed them and signed in OKC without a second thought.

Lebron wants to play with elite veteran talent, he doesn't have patience for young guys. If Lakers can't land any major FAs this upcoming summer, they WILL package Ingram/Ball/Hart/Kuzma in trades to bring in an established star (not saying it'll be Wall specifically, but they'll try to get their hands on someone)..

Dude, do you honestly believe that's a fair trade for all sides? WTF

It was bad here, and it's equally as silly on the trade board.

Steven Adams and a bunch of spare parts for our most productive players. Sounds fair to me!

Holy moly, Ruz, who cut you off in traffic?

As I wrote the first time: "Lets hope we actually have a shot at one or another version of the trade! :)"

And right you are, Boy Blunder!

Edit - no (or little) offense intended. Your "Holy moly, Ruz" comment sounded like a comment from Robin in an out-dated Batman episode - which would typically be responded to by an arch-villian the way I did. Sorry if it sounded overly harsh.

No worries -- thanks for the explanation.

What's funny is that, despite having read the post several times in order to "grok" the phrase "Boy-Blunder," it is only now, really right now, that I have finally noticed that it's a play on "Boy Wonder."

I have to work on my rebounding!

GetRich: what the hell did beal and otto ever do to you? im emotionally hurt by these trades. that you think steven adams, a bunch of junk and a protected first is what they are worth? and we have to give up probably the best young big man prospect we've had in decades for the honour? i wouldn't even feel this hurt as i do now if i found out you had sex with my wife.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Grod, Steven Adams is a good player, but does it make sense for the Wiz to trade their best players for him? What's the point behind doing it? At best it's a lateral move. If they're going to trade both Otto and Beal, it should be a rebuilding trade to get younger players and draft picks.

Right....

Grich -- if you want to propose a trade for Beal, think it through based just on him. Then, get your mind clear on the idea that we'd want forward-looking assets if we're shedding Brad, & therefore take Steven Adams off your list of what you'd give.

What does that leave you with as trade bait for Bradley Beal? Obviously, you're not giving Russ or PG. Guys like Ferguson, Abrines, Grant, Schroder, Patterson, Felton...? Those are players that don't get more valuable if you get a large number of them.

So... what do you have? Well, Hamidou Diallo is a promising young R2 guy. But, obviously he can't be the centerpiece of a trade for Beal. Noel looks like he's finally put it together (but is expiring).

The only other thing you have is picks. But, you are 15-7. If the draft were held tomorrow, you would pick #26 or 27.

Not to mention that right now you've got 8 guys guaranteed for next year @ $138m. Add Beal & you're at $175m for 9 guys. Naturally you'd like to deal Adams!! Duh.

Your only hope is think of a trade that sends Adams to another team (not us) in return for the assets we would actually want in return for Beal -- some combination of extremely promising young players & high picks. Sacramento is your best bet. Trade Adams to them.

IMO, the guys we'd most want from Sac'to are Fox, Hield, Bjelica (except that he's 30), Bagley & Giles. Some of those guys (not all of them) & the best picks possible could perhaps yield a potential trade for Beal.

Only the Wizards would be dumb enough to turn down that Lakers trade for Wall, assuming it's real, and if Kev say so, it probably is.
Instead they'll dump Wall in a year or two when his value is at an all time low. Maybe after an injury.

We don't know if they'll turn it down or not. Nothing can happen until December 15th as long as either KCP (or Rondo) is involved.

I really hope they take the deal though. This team needs to be shaken up.
