He reminds me of Boris Diaw. Came up as a skilled SG, that filled out into a high IQ PF that played defense, shot 3's, and could play make.

I was thinking a better passing Otto Porter. Solid defender, long, if not overwhelmingly athletic. Smart and efficient, if not high volume. Porter too needed to take some time to figure out how to translate his game for the next level. But if George ends up 6 foot 10, he may have a similar impact at the swing position

Otto Porter had no swag, no dawg. Kyshawn was pushing Draymond green, standing over someone and yapping after he had gotten pushed a few plays earlier, and shot 17 3s in one game. Porter with that attitude would have been a big time player. Kyshawn is showing signs he might become one.

My favorite play of the game was his only 2 pointer. He saw they were running him off the line, drove off a fake, and hit a double clutch layup. He also had a great pass off a fake three.

True dat. Kyshawn has that Switzerland swag you can only get from growing up in the nicest neighborhoods eating the nicest most delicious chocolates. Fella got that Willy Wonka Swag. Dude was probably the only black guy in Switzerland, sort of like how I'm the only intellectual on this board.

Looks to me like he’s growing into that part of his game. Because he didn’t show it in college and reports in international ball also had him passive. But yeah a more aggressive Otto Porter is an all star.

I credit Bub. His attitude is infectious with these young cats. But really all of our youth movement seem like they’re having fun out there. So credit Coach Keefe and the organization as well for the atmosphere.

I’m giving some credit to Poole’s on court leadership. You can see him regularly encouraging the four 19 & 20 yr olds he starts alongside of.

The Wizards had something with young Beal, Porter, and Oubre.

Right. Well for sure one thing Poole will do is encourage players to shoot. :D I like that Keefe has the luxury to let young players gun until they find their comfort and rhythm. Nobody is checking over their shoulder thinking they’ll be yanked for letting it fly. So long as you put in effort on defense every shot is a good shot. You can see it working with Sarr as well. He’s not nervous to put it up.

Not really. Porter was an injury prone backup the rest of his career after he left us. Oubre is on his 5th team now.

Otto did end up winning a championship with the Warriors and funnily enough replaced Kelly Oubre.

Yeah i know but he averaged 5.4 ppg in the playoffs that year. Bottom line he played his best basketball with us. After leaving us he missed more games than he played.

Yeah, I think he was dealing with some injuries that ultimately derailed his career. But helped the Warriors get off to a blazing start. I don't think they win without him; they probably lose to the Celtics (and they haven't made it past the 2nd round since).

Before the injuries, Otto was a very effective player.

In '16-17 & '17-18, Otto was one of the best young players in the league.
His body failed him.

He cam back strong for GS in '21'-22. In 1400 minutes for GS, Otto was without doubt one of the best forwards in the game.

Overall, however, Otto's body simply didn't hold up.

Furthermore, OP had a really nice playoff and finals run the year of his chip with GSW.
His contribution was significant.

Yeah he was injury prone but he had a decent run with us too especially
the year he locked down DeRozen (TOR) which was a huge factor for
our advancing to the 2nd round that year. I liked OP. And so far, I like
Kyshawn.

Rewatching the Warriors game. Key’s defense is fun to watch. Relentless. Effortlessly switching 1-4. Bothered everyone he matched. And his 3pt misses all still looked good.

Kispert on the other hand had a terrible game at both ends.
