Is it true Brent Johnson is returning? I keep hearing his name on Comcast when they cover the Caps. I don't think the Caps should re-sign him. Theodore is the number one, and then just break the kid in as the backup. Next year is Theodore's last year on his deal, and by that time, one would assume that Varlamov is ready to be the top goalie, and the other one (who's name escapes me) would be broken in as the backup. I think thats where the team is leaning.

Should be a good series. The only clear advantage I see for the Rangers is goaltending. The Caps have way better scoring and a better power play, but the Rangers have a pretty good defense that will at least try to slow down Ovechkin and co. The season series between these teams was close every game, with the Rangers only being outscored by 3 goals in the series. Can't wait til tomorrow!

Theodore needs to get himself together. He has actually been a legit 1st round goalie, but not shocking he fails to show up for the Caps haha. I think Varly should get the start in game 3 if Theodore pulls this again. And yes Schultz needs to be benched now. Bring up Alzner or start Pothier over him. He is complete garbage. He still looks like a rookie and made it look as if skating backwards was impossible.

Let's hope they got it out of their system. The Rangers offense SUCKS, they can't keep that up all series long. What the Caps did work, just bombard Henrick with shots, he's not gonna stop them all.

Basic things. Absolutely basic things this team can't execute. You know on a 2 on 1 the defenseman has to take away the passing lane and let the goalie have at it with the primary shooter.

Yet Poti decides to play the shooter and leave the passing lane open for a wide open layup for Callahan. This team is so frustrating.

I'm glad that I'm not a die-hard Caps fan, because their history in the playoffs is pretty pitiful. Hopefully, they can be the ones to come back in a series for a change.

Saw this coming from a mile away and people told me I was being a negative nancy.

No toughness + too much finesse = recipe for disaster in the playoffs. Great job GMGM. I laugh at all those who seriously believe this is one of the most talented teams in the league. Absolutely pitful roster. Look at all people acquired at the deadline and what they are doing for their teams.

Looks like the Dallas Mavericks are done giving DC area hockey fans their usual healthy dose of false hope this year. They were chanting "Let's-Go-Caps!" guys, not "Play-Like-Crap!" Huge misunderstanding.
