Rolling with Dwayne Haskins: Multiple sources have said the Redskins would not be interested in Cam Newton once the Carolina Panthers cut him, or Jameis Winston. Although Rivera drafted and coached Newton in Carolina, the Redskins know if they sign him, he'd be coming here to start. And they don't want to put Haskins in a position where he has no shot to compete for the job. They also like how he finished last season -- a combined total QBR of 73.0 over his final two starts -- and want to give him a chance to develop.

Yep, the articles I've read about his deal have been talking him up as a pass catcher and a TD scorer. Nobody seems to think he's a "bell cow" back anymore, even if he's still gonna get paid like one this year (around $11M combined total from both teams).

Wow. Now Dunbar for just a 5th.

We’ve gotten worse, if possible, this offseason.

We’ll see if Rivera’s my way or the highway approach works.

And this is why in general, I'm against the coach with full power model.

Think about it. Today, we traded a #1 cornerback on a cheap contract and a high 5th round pick for a bad back up cornerback and a low 5th rounder.

Yeah, we essentially traded a top CB in his prime for an ok backup QB. And the best thing people are saying about the QB is that he's not good enough to challenge the starting QB...

I'll just say it - that's pisspoor roster management. We're already way behind in talent - we can't afford more moves like that.
