Really? We shall see...80sballboy wrote:Chocolate City Jordanaire wrote:JuJu will transfer.
Maybe next season. It's too late now. He'd have to sit out a year if he left now. In fact, why would he transfer? He has a chance to start and play 25mpg, He's playing close to home. In fact, I assume the next stop for him will be the NBA or overseas if he's good enough.
Willard isn't going to win (much) right away and he has to get his own players. He wants to run and he needs more athletes to do so, but if you have JuJu, who is not your prototypical center, but is fairly athletic, you are going to need to run. What Willard needs is to start getting more talent for 2023 aside from transfers. He's playing a much stronger schedule than Turge, which will help. He needs to show his team will get out and run instead of finish in the 300s in pace of play.
Getting 4* Jahnathan Lamote from St. Frances in Baltimore is a start. But they need more talent, preferably up front and at point guard since Young is a grad student.

Not sure I'm ready to jump back on this team because I don't think the players are that interesting though I like the way a more svelte Donta Scott is playing, but I'm impressed with Willard's style. He actually has one. He presses. Kind of like a younger, softer-on-the-edges Gary Williams and speaks like him with a South Jersey accent.

All you can expect of a coach is to get the best out of the talent. The way they play together is really exciting.
I don’t think they have enough size to be among the elite teams. It will be interesting to see if they can still play hard and focused.
