Monte was getting paid 9.4 and I don't believe we took a player back so it would be 9.4

Nah.
He's got a regular contract. Fully guaranteed this year & $600K guaranteed next season.

Interesting. Alright. I expect he will still be working on the GoGo most of this season. Hopefully learning to run point and fix his TO problem.

Reflects the Monte Morris trade. 15 guaranteed contracts, including Gallo but not including Coulibaly (who hasn't signed a contract yet).
But, oddly, Tristan Vukčević is no longer listed anywhere. Probably doesn't mean anything -- or maybe he's not coming over this season?

What TO problem? He turned the ball over 16 times in 62 minutes as an NBA rookie -- got no problem whatsoever turning the ball over!

They probably just don't know, but I can't imagine he doesn't come over. He's stated he wants to, and the buyout of his contract overseas is only 825k.

Wow, Portland just gave Grant a crazy 5-year deal, only for Dame to finally request a trade to Miami.

This. Garuba would be a perfect flier. He can play PF and we could see if he develops. Sigh.

Agreed. Garuba has a lot of potential, particularly defensively. Shame.

I would love this, was high on Garuba when he was drafted...
ATL already has Okongwu and Fernando, and are pretty stocked at PG.

Yeah... I wrote about this in the other teams' moves thread.
I can't figure out what's going on in Houston; that trade was idiotic, & sending Martin to the Clips for 2 future R2 picks was even worse.
We could have all 3 of those young guys -- for a few of the R2 picks we've been collecting! Sigh...

Mahinmi is still taking up a $23 million + cap hold?

I think it's a weird technicality thing. Like a paper work shananagans thing. It doesn't actually count because he's no longer in the league at all.penbeast0 wrote:payitforward wrote:https://www.spotrac.com/nba/washington-wizards/cap/

I would litterally been screaming my head off in joy if they had pulled that one off.

Me too!
Would have been ready to erect a shrine to Will Dawkins & Michael Winger.
KMart jr. is one of the best young players in the league. Garuba gets a ton of boards, blocks shots, & even gets steals! He only turned 21 a few months ago. TyTy is a reasonably solid prospect, if limited offensively.
Oh well....

Re: Official Trade Thread Part XLV
One good trade I can think of for wright is wright to the pelicans for temple and Lewis Jr. And the Lakers 2024 first.
This gets them an upgrade on the bench over a failed frp who can't stay healthy and a broken down temple. And helps them dodge the tax.
We would then cut both of them.
The only trade I really see for shamett is for Bagley in det but I feel like if that was on the table it would have happened. A couple other shammet trade I found would be shamett for hardaway Jr and some seconds or shamett for Morris from the clippers. Helps both teams with their money situations
We haven't released Gallo yet which means we are trying to trade him. Gallo for McGee and a second in Dallas makes sense or Gallo to the kings I think they have just enough cap room left to take him in.
